Japanese Sake cup - Hagi ware with box - Beautiful blue glaze work of Seigan Yamane. The cup has the maker's signature mark stamped on the bottom. Height: 2.0" (5 cm). Diameter: aprox 2.5" (6.5 cm). Condition: The cup has a chip in the edge cover by the glaze, apparently made during the manufacturing process (please, see photos).

These 12 porcelain dinner plates were produced in England by Spode Copelands China in the 1890s. They were produced especially for the high end retailer T. Good & Co. of London. The plates measure 10 ¾ inches in diameter. They are made of fine, white bone china. The set was used for decoration only. They are completely hand painted with floral centers and border reserves. Stippled Band was the first toy dish pattern produced by Akro Agate. The transparent topaz color pictured here was only made in 1935-6 and is very difficult to find. This is the Large size Stippled Band set and includes 4 cups & saucers, 4 plates, teapot & lid, creamer, and sugar & lid. The sugar lid is the rare dome - shaped style. This is a really great set of 'Little Hostess' Children's Party Play Dishes made by Hazel Atlas in the early 1950s. This sixteen piece set includes four 5 1/4 inch plates (2 pink and 2 black), four pink cups, four black saucers, a pink creamer, pink sugar and pink teapot bottom with black lid, in the original box. This is a very fine pair of Japanese satsuma vases that stand just 4 1/4 inches tall. Attractive form, enamel colors and very fine details. They look like they have spent most of their lives stored in the box. One has the original sticker and both are signed. The signature looks a bit like the Kozan mark but we are not sure. Some of the larger flowers remind us of work seen on Bizan and Yabu pieces.

This is a very fine and unusual Japanese Satsuma vase with relief figures. The work on this piece is highly detailed and the gold thickly applied. The Dragon and clouds are decorated with silver. The piece is in very good condition will minor wear. The Artist signature is the most worn area on the piece. With magnification it can be seen that it is signed Fuzan but it is very hard to make out. I have included a similar Fuzan mark for comparison. The vase stands 8 1/2 inches tall.

A fine and rare 19th century Japanese cloisonne bi-fold table screen in the Kyoto school of Namikawa, depicting a ho bird and dragon. The finely coiled wiring is gilded, as are the back panels of the screen. Each cloisonne panel is wood framed, joined with hinges of silver. Fully opened, the screen measures 8" high and 9" wide.

Condition: Quite fine, with only wear commensurate with age.

A fine Persian nargileh water pipe cup "qalian" in conical form made of copper decorated in enamel against a gilt background. Showing four medaillons with portraits of youths among cartouches with floral bouquets or faces. Interior with clay, the foot with four lugs. Exquisite set of Japanese Dairi bina (hina), the emperor and the empress dolls from early to mid Showa period. This is not a large set of dolls. This is a beautiful Japanese cloisonne vase. Though not signed, the workmanship and colors clearly speaks Hayashi Kodenji made this. This same opinion is held by North America's leading cloisonne collector. The vase stands 7 1/4 inches tall. It appears perfect but there is a virtually invisible repair to the midnight blue enamel edge shown in the last image.
