The latest original regional marsh landscape painting by this painter. A dramatic deep red and blue marsh with a distant luminous sliver of sky in buttery yellow was painted with a very limited palette of three pigments plus white, following a more "Modernist" feel to this while the other recently painted "Marsh Moment" - # 1340185 - using the same limited palette may have more of a traditional regional appeal. This impressive 2 3/4" sterling silver cuff studded with 30 amethyst cabs was hallmarked c. 1940 by Manuel Altamirano, senior silversmith in Hector Aguilar's Taller Borda. Interior length measures 5 1/2" end to end. The gap opening is 1 1/2". Terminals measure 2 3/4" wide, center front is 2 1/2" wide. Weight 79 grams. The bracelet is in beautiful condition. This is a 10-1/2" x 8-1/2" ball-footed swing-handle serving basket fully hallmarked for Sheffield, England 1895-6. Made by James Dixon & Sons, this basket has ornate repousse decoration in the bowl as well as attractive design to the ornate handle. Rare kinetic showstopper designed by Bent Gabrielsen while he worked for iconic Danish silversmith Hans Hansen. In textured sterling silver with a dangling disc that has a gold wash. The disc has a pitted texture which contrasts beautifully against the vertical pattern of the body of the pendant. This is a large, bold piece, measuring 3.25". Excellent condition. The central panels showing the title of the book in Burmese script. Approximately 280 pages, handwritten in black Burmese script, edges gilt. Large Chinese Ming dynasty wide-mouthed globular form guan jar with short, vertical collar-like neck and wide angled mouth covered overall in a dark brown/black crackled glaze that coats the interior and ends at the base.
