Two panel Japanese folding screen with image of two deers set on a grassy meadow-like surrounding with a waxing gibbous moon set on the left panel screen. The simple watercolor appearance, minimalist lines, and motif like appearance of the images are the signature elements seen in most Rinpa School. Age: Edo Period (18th-19th century). This screen is carved from top to bottom in every possible place. It has faces, flowers, lion feet, berries and more. The red panels in the back can be easily changed, so it can be made to go with any decor. The two outside panels are each 22" wide x 65" tall, and the center panel is 20" wide x 65". Not only is this a beautiful screen, but it would make a wonderful one of a kind headboard also. It is in great original condition.

Gorgeous Korean screen with a light yellow silk background with cream designs of flowers and stems, with eight panels depicting a group of hunters on horseback, carrying spears, swords, and trumpets and hunting boar, wildcats, and pheasants. 19th Century Chinese White Jade Carved Plaque on Wood Carved Stand

The overall measurement is 5.5 inches (14 cm) tall by 4.3 inches (11.1 cm) wide. The jade is 2.9 inches (7.4 cm) tall by 4.1 inches (10.5 cm) wide and 0.2 inch (5.5 cm) thick. The jade is 67.1 gram and the total weight is 95.3 gram.

It is in good condition with no repairs, or cracks, except flea bite chips, peeling and chips at the stand, and missing one foot at the stand (as seen in the photos).

This Japanese 3 panel screen has carved wood frame and lower panels. The upper panels have decoration of carved birds, and eagle and fauna carved from either died bone or natural colored shell. The hinges are double swing so that the panels can be arranged in various positions... opened out the screen is 17 inches across and 14 inches high.

Maeda Toshinaga was a Japanese daimyo, who was the second head of the Kasa Domain. He was the eldest son of Maeda Toshiie and married one of Oda Nobunaga's daughters, Ei-Hime. He supported Tokugawa Ieyasu and, after receiving his brother Toshimasa's lands (Noto, 215,000 Koku), controlled a total of 1,250,000 Koku, an amount exceeded only by the Shogunate. Toshinaga built and resided in the Kanazawa Castle. He had no children and adopted his brother Toshitsune as his heir.
