This is an extremely rare jade picture-plaque that dates to the Late Classic Period around 700 AD. In my 40 years of collecting, I have never seen one for sale. These plaques all belong to one school of carving known as Nebaj-type plaques because the first specimens to be found in situ in the Mayan area come from Cache 14, Mound 2, at Nebaj, Guatemala. This is an extremely rare Carthaginian glass head pendant, circa 5th-4th century B.C. It is 1 1/2 inches long. This is a Mediterranean core-formed glass bead. This Chavin 23-24K pure gold hammered pendant or nose ornament depicts the Chavin Monster/Dragon swallowing some poor sap whole with his head sticking out of the monster's mouth and blood spurting out of the top of his head. This petrified wood tang knife is from the four-corners area of the southwest. It is 3 1/4" long. It is from the Wallis-Thomas collection. The base of the tang has been snapped off anciently, but does not detract.

This incredible Columbia Plateau is 2 1/8" long. It is made from semi-translucent carnelian agate . It was found by Ernie Cowles in the 1930's. Of his vast collection of over 5,000 points, he stated this was his favorite. Ernie was a member of the Oregon Archaeological Society and was profiled in "Who's Who in Indian Relics", Vol. 3, 1972. This is a Mezcala reclining figure made from a hard stone. This is a rare pose. It dates to 500C. It is 3" tall. It is from Guerrero, Mexico. I purchased it from Michael Robbins in 1989.

These four points were found in the Arkansas River area of southeast Colorado and are from the old-time collection of Arley Hudson. The longest one is 1 1/8". All are very thin and expertly chipped. They are from the Mississippian Period C1000AD.

This extremely rare and stunning museum quality Olmec standing figure is made from beautiful Olmec blue true jadeite. It measures a whopping 8 3/8" long and 2 1/2" at the shoulders. I purchased this unique antler wedge or chisel from Jim Bennett. It has fabulous patina and is scored/grooved on the sides. It is 5 3/8" and was found near Wakemap Mound on the long narrows of the Columbia River, Oregon in the 1950's by Charlie Mitchell. A very rare and unique piece.

This extremely rare standing Olmec figure is 3" long and 1 1/2" wide at the shoulders. It is made from true jadeite that is semi-translucent at the right arm and shoulder. This extremely rare green slate pendant is 3 1/8" in diameter and is from Eastern Oklahoma dating to the Mississipian Period. The incised motifs are two antler-headed panther rattlesnakes with weeping/forked eye, four hands with eye in the palm and a central stylized eye. I purchased these four Hayes points from Tom Davis in the 1990's. They are from the Mississippian period and were found in SW Arkansas.
