"A Mighty and Valiant Underground Army over 2200 Years Back". This profusely illustrated soft cover was published by the Shaanxi Sanquinj Publishing House. Page 12 is a bit loose but intact. Both color and B&W photos. 128 pp. Front inscription perhaps by the author...Please disregard glare on front cover.

Possibly an unstated first edition written by Donald G. Mitchell. The book has green cloth boards with gilt lettering and gilt top. Published in 1897 by Charles Scribner. The cover shows light wear, an owner's name in pencil is on the free paper and the book is slightly cocked. Pages 235 on have some type of very faint stain at the corners. 7¾" - 9¾" 294pp.

A small hard cover reprinted in 1982 by Charles Letts Books Ltd. The jacket is a bit worn with a back tear and there is an old price notation on the front free paper.There are 60 plates- some in color others in b&W. 80pp.

Ca 1920 An unmarked hand chased, etched silver cigarette case.The interior has a goldwash; the band is missing. There are a few dark spots and the piece is unpolished. 3" x 4-1/8"~166gr.

Written by John Mack and published in 1988 by Harry Abrams, this is a former library hard cover with dust jacket. In good condition, there is an old library "due date" paste down and stamp. One hundred seventy(170) illustrations with 120 colored plates. 207pp.

An older, unmarked silver filigree belt that measures 30" x 3/8" including hook clasp. Probably 800 silver.

Marked 800 along with other faint stamps, this large coral brooch measures 1-3/4" round and has a trombone clasp.

A pair of solid, etched silver cufflinks marked 800. Possibly German. The front measures 3/4"; total weight 11.3 grams.

A signed sterling green turquoise cross by Evelyn Anderson who worked for the Atkinson Trading Company. The necklace is not original to the piece and has some darkening in areas that is difficult to polish. The cross is marked E.A. Sterling and measures 3" x 4"; the 24" necklace is unmarked. A similar piece can be found in "Skystone and Silver ~ The Collector's Book of Southwest Indian Jewelry".

Soft cover illustrated catalog for an exhibit that took place at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., December 13, 1974 thru March 30, 1975. 104 pp. Light wear and unmarked.

An early 20thC oil on canvas by Rhode Island artist, Emma Lavinia Swan ( 1853-1927). This is an atypical and rare scene since Swan is noted from her floral paintings. It appears to have its original black wood frame. Signed in the lower right hand corner. The canvas measures 9" x 9"; frame 17" x 17". Listed/Davenports.

An oversized paperback edition published in 1981 by Boscobel Restoration Inc. and Harry Abrams. Text by Berry B. Tracy with painting documentation by Mary Black. 215 illustrations~166 plates in full color. In very good condition.

A colorful set of African scenes. The medium appears to be oil on paper. Two are signed by Gallin, one is signed Bonnaie, another Hona (?)and the last Dzio(?). The frames show some wear and chipping and one picture is missing its glass but is protected by a plastic sheet.

A flamenco-style fan purchased in Spain during the 70's that has flowers painted on the mother of pearl sticks and black lace. The brass etched handle is a bit bent.

A bezel set turquoise pendant marked Sterling F.L. Begay for Francis L. Begay~ Navajo/Dine. It measures 1-7/8" x 1-1/2". The smooth oval stone measures 5/8" x 3/4". 17.6gr.

Ca 1960 A vintage leather purse with an ornate gilt design on both sides purchased in Florence. The gilt is in excellent condition; the leather interior is somewhat discolored. The other side is nicely embossed. 9-3/4" x 6-1/4'

Here is a whimsical piece of folk art, possibly depicting an Australian Cassowary. A plastic coconut shell serves as the body, the feathered tail and headdress are accented by a furry brown material while the spindly neck and legs made from sticks. Unsigned.

A signed hard cover with dustjacket(that shows some wear). Published by Doubleday Doran & Co.,NY 1935. Possibly a later state of a first edition. Signed "With Best Wishes Kenneth Roberts".

A hardcover with dust jacket published by Skira and distributed in the U.S. by World Pub. Co., Cleveland, 1962. There are 109 full color plates. The original paper band on the front is ripped and the jacket shows very light wear at the corners. The plate on 43 has separated and the plate on page 37 has a small line running through it. The book otherwise is fine. 227pp.+

An authentic document signed by Gov. Alfred E Smith (NY) attesting to the fact that as requested by the Governor of Massachusetts he "surrendered" Fred W. Simmons, a fugitive from justice Dated August 17, 1927 . Smith's signature is in the lower right corner - it is also signed by counsel. The paper is folded and curled at the bottom edge; there are also two small puncture marks in the upper right corner.

From the Futuristic Hans Hansen line(1932-1948), a pair of solid sterling dangle earrings by Karl Gustav Hansen. They have been retrofitted for pierced ears and hang 2.75" with a combined weight of 10.9gr.

Designed by Harald Nielson, a heavy sterling cuff that weighs 56 grams. The inner diameter measures 2.48 inches, and at its widest point measures 1-1/2". It is marked on both ends. On one side is Jensen round logo 55 and on the other end 925S Denmark. Light wear.

A heavy sterling bracelet marked with the Jensen logo (post 1945) Denmark Sterling 56A. The five oval coral cabs measure 6.5mm x 4mm. The bracelet is 7" and weighs 49.4gr. Light wear.

A heavy Danish sterling ring designed by Kim Buck that is marked with the round Jensen logo, 447, 925S Denmark. Size 6. Very light wear.

Here is another Florentine purse that measures 8-3/4" (l) x 7" (w) closed. The purse is embossed on both sides. The leather handles show modest wear.

An excellent reference book signed by the author, Charles H. Carpenter, Jr. and published in 1982 by Dodd Meade. The jacket has a few tears ( see photos) however, this hardcover is in nice tight condition. A fine history of the Gorham Company (Providence, Rhode Island) and their silverware products. There are 295 b&w photographs, 8 color plates, 40 photographs of marks, photographs of 313 flatware patterns. 332pp.

A large softcover written by Jane Kallir and published by Harry Abrams NY in 1997. Full page colored photos. In excellent condition. 55pp.

A second revised edition hard cover with dust jacket published in 1967 ( though no date is noted on the front page). The book features Russian art and architecture from the Kremlin. Colorized plates. 187pp.
