Composite panel of antique Ottoman embroideries, made into a rectangular shaped woman’s prayer cloth indicating qibla, the direction of prayer. Made in the Ottoman city of Salonika or Kavala. The basic fabrics are different plain weaves, embroidered with silk and silver wrapped threads, crocheted together. Two patches with a kind of floral needle weaving. Bordered with a green ribbon and later lining. Condition: stained and flawed areas, missing threads, faded. Dimension: 159.5 cm x 98 cm.

A brass magic bowl of deep rounded form with everted rim and raised omphalos. Incised allover with talismanic inscriptions, the exterior with the twelve Zodiac signs in cartouches. A small cylindrical container made of brass with a domed cover with close fitting. With engraved decoration in horizontal bands, the widest with four medallions each containing a figure at leisure. Its function is not obvious, maybe an ink pot (davat) or a container for tobacco or spices. From an old Swiss collection. Condition: good, few tiny dents. Dimension: 7.0 cm high, diameter: 2.9 cm, weight: 56 g.

A large Susani needlework composed of three length of mustard yellow cotton hand embroidered in polychrome silks. This kind of Susanis where used as bed sheet for the wedding night. A wonderful woman's wedding hip wrapper made of cotton with wax resist dyed decoration and gilding. The kepala is showing a peacock on a tree, the badan with two long-tailed birds among flowers. Condition: amazingly good state of the gilding, the left and right edge with some tears and few holes. The badan with a small angled tear. Maybe shortened. Dimension: c. 101.5 cm x 174 cm.

These eight wayang kulit shadow puppets, called in Bali "ringgits", were bought from a dalang (shadow artist) in Bali around 1960 and had then already a certain age. In a wayang kulit performance, the puppet figures are mostly rear-projected on a linen screen.
