A Chinese gaming counter, made for the European market around 1800. Mother of pearl, engraved with scroll work and a star to one side, the other with butterflies. Width "2½/ 6,5 cm. Condition: fine.

Stoneware bowl by Annikki Hovisaari (1918-1974) for Arabia, Finland. Of rough structure, chamotted, the white clay with numerous dark specks and covered by a thin, matted glaze. Incised signature AH and Arabia. Height "2¾/ 7 cm, diameter "4¾/ 12 cm. Condition: fine.

Vase by Danish manufacturer Hjorth, c 1920-30. Grey stoneware, decoration of Art Déco scroll work in “flow” copper red under beautifully crackled glaze. Probably by Hans Hjorth. The Hjorth Terracotta Factory, now part of the Bornholm museum, is still working in the same premises where it was founded in the 19th century, still using the same equipment. Impressed deer mark (Hjorth is Danish for deer). Height "5¼/ 13 cm. Condition: fine

Beautiful dish or bowl with a landscape and cottages in Famille rose colours and gold within a diaper border in pale turquoise. Early Qianlong, first half of the 18th century. Diameter "9¾/ 24,8 cm and height "1½/ 4 cm. Condition: two hairlines, one piece reglued (cf. pics).

A pair of plates by Samson of Paris. Decoration in Famille rose colours of sprigs of flowers within a gilt Rococo border, imitating mid-18th Chinese export porcelain of the Qianlong period. Unmarked. Diameter "9½/ 23,8 cm. Condition: fine.

A small teapot and lid, Kangxi period, c 1700. Painted - clobbered - probably in Holland for the European market, in iron red, green, pink, black and gilt over the original under-glaze blue decoration. The base with a pseudo-Chinese seal mark in iron red. Height, including lid "4 1/2/ 11 cm. Condition: repair to the lid (cf. photos), otherwise fine.

Three Shishi lions or “Foo dogs”, the guardian animals that used to be placed outside temples and imperial buildings. Two of the three originally formed the knobs of urn lids, the third and smallest is a lid from a miniature incense vessel or urn. Two with aubergine and green/turquoise glaze, the third in crackle-glaze gilt. Height of biggest Foo dog "2¾/ 7 cm, of smallest "1/ 2,5 cm. Condition: the angry, middle-sized dog has got his right back leg restored.

A pair of Japanese dishes or plates, Edo, probably 18th century. Over-glaze decoration in iron red, aubergine, black, green and gilt of scholars in a landscape of rocks and banana trees. In the centre Kirin, the mythical animal, in under-glaze blue. The back with auspicious symbols. Diameter "8½/ 21,5 cm (both plates). Condition: both dishes with some wear to the decoration, one with a chip to underside of rim (cf. pictures).

A Chinese export Imari dish, Kangxi period, early 18th century. Fluted sides and decoration of peony and chrysanthemum in iron red and gilt over under-glaze blue. Diameter "10/ 25,5 cm. Condition: rim frits, a hairline and a 3 cm restoration to the rim (cf. pictures).

A Chinese export blue and white plate, Qianlong, c 1750. Decoration of a laid garden table under a willow tree and among peony, all surrounded by butterflies (?) and crickets. Diameter "9/ 23 cm. Condition: rim frits, some wear and a glaze bubble to the well.

A small jar, painted in Famille rose colours with a blue rock formation, peony and poppy (?). Qianlong period ( 1736-1795). Height "3¼/ 8 cm. Condition: fine.

A Japanese 19th century Banko ware teapot. Modelled as a leather pouch with a plissé edge and ties forming a handle (where the potter’s finger prints are visible). Enamelled flowers and relief moulded decoration of geese in white clay. Traces of gilt around edge and spout. Banko mark. No lid. Height “3½/ 9 cm, width including handle “6/ 15 cm. Condition: fine

An early Troika vase or marmalade pot, ca 1970. Of square shape, relief decorated, the matted glaze in purple, black and orange, the inside white glazed. Troika was a group of three art potters, based in St Ives. Troika pieces were sold through Liberty of London. This little vase or pot is signed by Marilyn Pascoe who worked with Troika from c 1964 to 1970. With her signature and Troika, St Ives, England in black. Width "3/ 7,5 cm, height "3½/ 8,5 cm. A decorative 1960’s tile or wall plaque of long-necked giraffes, by Helmut Schäffenacker, Germany (1921-2010), internationally known for his works in various artistic techniques. Signed with model number 476 and Schäffenacker, Ulm/Do(nau), Made in Germany and Handgeformt (hand made). Original sticker. Height "14½/ 36 cm, width "4¾/ 12 cm. Condition: fine.

Rectangular gilt-edged pin with relief decoration in colours and gilt of a Dutchman in folk costume and a pink tulip in front of a weather mill. Impressed mark: Frode. Height "1½/ 4 cm. Condition: fine.

Three small so-called Kitchen Qing jars with under-glaze blue decoration of sweet pea vines and flowers. Probably used as medicine bottles, 19th century. Height "2 – 2¼/ 5,3 – 6,1 cm. Condition: fine.
