Comprising 20 figures: 4 carriers with a sedan chair, musicians and figures carrying objects.
Made of pottery with purple and turquoise glaze, red and black pigments. The figures 19,5 cm tall, the sedan chair 22,5 cm tall (including the detachable roof knob). This group was excavated in the southeast of the Shanxi Province. It is very hard to find big groups like this. Condition: expected age wear, a chip to the inside of the front of the sedan chair, some glaze chips, but all pieces without repairs. Min g Dynasty (1368-1644)
A pair of gilt brass hairpins, decorated with kingfisher feathers and glass beads. China, late 19th/early 20th century. H. 16 cm W. 13 cm. Condition: the kingfisher feathers are mostly gone.
In bhumisparsa mudra (calling the earth to witness). Carved in hardwood, then lacquered and gilded. H. 52 cm. Condition: wonderful original condition with expected age wear.

Depicting one of the 24 Tirthankaras with his attendants. His eyes inlaid with silver or electron. Lots of wear due to extensive worshipping. Judging by the beautiful dark brown and green patina, this is an excavated piece. H. 13,5 cm (5,5 inches). Provenance: private collection The Netherlands.

Wonderful porcelain jar, decorated in blue and white. Typical wanli pattern of swastikas on the shoulder, the rest of the jar decorated with gardens and two flying cranes, China, Wanli (1573-1620). Condition: two hairline cracks on the mouth rim, one of them with an almost invisible related crack on the shoulder. Dimensions: H. 17,5 cm, Diameter 17 cm.

An outstanding piece, this scholar's rock in huanguali with finely carved scenes all around the mountain. This piece may date from the Qianlong period, but not later then early 19th century.
It measures: H 22 cm, W. 14 cm, D. 10 cm.
Condition: excellent, with a beautiful soft patina. A small opening at the top may heve been used as a brush holder.

An extremely rare set of bronze figures depicting Krishna and his wife Radha. Very well proportioned and extremely finely engraved. Made in Orissa, India in the 17th or 18th century. Krishna is 22 cm high, Radha is 16,5 cm high. A complete set of Krishna and Radha is very hard to find. This set came from a Belgian private collection. I have more top quality pieces from this collection for sale, both in sandstone and in bronze. More pieces will be coming soon. A lovely enamelled tea caddy. Canton, 18th century.

The marble painted with scenes of Chinese saints in a garden. Size: 34 x 34 cm. Very good condition with expected age wear.
An export blue and white plate decorated with a bird and floral patterns. Kangxi period (1662-1722). Marked with an Artemisia leaf. Diameter 27 cm. The silver handle was added in 1854 by the wellknown Dutch silversmith J.M. van Kempen in Utrecht(later in Voorschoten). In the 19th century it was very fashionable in The Netherlands to add silver mounts, lids and handles to antique porcelain objects. Silvermarks: walking lion (silver grade 835), minerva head, maker's mark and year letter U for 1854. Condition: the plate has minor chips to the footrim, otherwise perfect, on the silver handle the top part of one of the leaves is missing.

An interesting redwood opium tray with nice carving and original brass hardware. China, 19th century. Size: 37 x 24 cm.
Sandstone head of a goddess, from the famous erotic temples of Khajuraho, India. Chandella period (950-1050). The head is 32 cm (13 inch) high. Head plus stand 45 cm (18 inch). Museum quality piece. Provenance: private collection Belgium.
Chinese hairpin, decorated with kingfisher feathers, amber, jade and glass. China, late 19th/early 20th century. H. 15 cm W. 9 cm. Condition: slight damage to the jade ornament on the left, age wear to the feathers.
A very well preserved embroidered silk apron, decorated with small glass mirrors in brass mounts and metal paillets. China, late 19th/early 20th century. H. 83 cm. W. 105 cm. Condition: embroidery is in mint condition, some pieces of glass and a few metal paillets missing.
Good condition, lovely wear and patina. Weight 287 gr. Diameter outside 7,5 cm , inside 5,5 cm. Early 20th century.
