The front of the pendant is decorated with 3 figures in a garden, one holding a fan and one holding a parasol. The text on the back of these pendants is usually about protection and good fortune for the wearer.
Dimensions: 7 x 5,5 cm, length of the chain 53 cm. Weight 68 gr.
There are holes on 3 sides of the pendant. There is a hallmark on the top side.
Provenance: Dutch private collection.
The acid test shows a silver content of ca. 90 %.

A wonderful gilt brass kingfisher hairpin in the shape of a bird, holding a chain with an agath leaf in it's mouth. China, late 19th/early 20th century. L: 14 cm. W. m3,5 cm.

A finely carved sculpture in boxwood of Guanyin, the goddess of mercy.
China, late Qing to Early Republic period, ca. 1900-1920. H. 19,5 cm.
Condition: minor age cracks, good patina.
Good condition, lovely wear and patina. Weight 287 gr. Diameter outside 7,5 cm , inside 5,5 cm. Early 20th century.
A very fine example of Burmese lacquer ware, dating from the Mandalay period, ca. late 19th/early 20th century. Apart from sone minor chips to the lacquer and normal age wear, this offering bowl is in excellent condition. H. 58 cm. Diameter 31 cm.
A very interesting set of 5 porcelain bowls with monochrome glaze, marked with maker's mark. China, late Qing or early Republic. H. 6,5 cm, Diameter 11 cm. Condition: small piece of glaze is missing on the inside bottom of the green bowl, the same bowl has a minor glaze imperfection on the outside. The rest of the set is in mint condition.

Unusual Baule mask with three hair knots, large scarifications around the eyes and on the cheeks. A pendant on the forehead. The Van Rijn archive mentions that , according to oral history’ this mask was collected ca 1900, so it would date from the 19th century. H. 32 cm.
Ex French colonial collection, ex private German collection until 2021.
This type of necklace with a pendant in the shape of a lock was given to Chinese children, so they would be ‘locked’ to life.
1. Large silver pendant decorated in enamel with two hares. The back with good fortune text. 7,5 x 5 cm. ( wear to the enamel)
2. Lock pendant decorated on both sides with flags and good fortune text. 6,5 x 4,5 cm. ( age wear). With mark.
3. Lock pendant with mythical beasts and floral pattern. The back with good fortune text. 5 x 3,5 cm.
4. Small pendant with floral decoration and text. 4 x 2,5 cm. ( dents and wear). With mark.
Total weight 101 gr.
Provenance: Dutch private collection.
With original pigments and excellent patina.

Note: On this piece a name is written. I couldn't read it very well, but it is something like Imtree Well (?)

A very nice gilt brass hairping, decorated with kingfisher feathers, an agath lotus flower and to textile ornaments. China, late 19th/early 20th century. H. 16 cm W. 5 cm. Condition: some age wear to the feathers.
Excellent wear and patina. Congo, first quarter 20th century. H. 21 cm (mask) or 28 cm including stand.
Adorable embroidered silk children's jacket. Considering the elaborate embroidery on both sides this was probably a festival jacket. China, late 19th/early 20th century. Dimensions: H. 35 cm , W. 83 cm. Condition: expected wear, discoloring, stains and a few holes in the silk top layer. The glass eyes of the dragon on the back are missing.

The lid with a sage or immortal holding a book, the handles in the shape of mythical animals, the body decorated with dragons and clouds, the censer is carried by three kneeling boys. There is a signature at the bottom. Dimensions: H. 37 cm, W. 32 cm, D. 18 cm. Weight ca. 10 kg. Meiji period (1868-1912). Very good condition and wonderful patina. From a Dutch private collection.
