An attractive cast bronze figure, depicting a dignitary or deity. China, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) Condition: As is often seen on Ming bronzes the casting is very thin in several places. This has caused minor holes in the bronze. The backside of the seat is missing. Please refer to the pics. Remains of red and black pigment are visible. A very interesting item for the scholar's table, this Qingbai porcelain brushrest in the shape of mountains with a monkey, bird etc. China, Yüan Dynasty (1279-1368). L. 12 cm. Condition: excellent.

Two offering vessels in the shape of an Alpaca, carved from natural stone. In the back a chamber is drilled; it was filled with llama fat or coca leaves. These votive figures were left in the fields as an offering to the Earth goddess Pachamama. H. 6 cm. Dating from the 15th/16th century. Ex Dick Meijer, Amsterdam.
