A very fine beaded dance panel from the first quarter of the 20th century. Dimensions: 29 x 29,5 cm. Good condition.
Provenance: private collection Lanaken, Belgium.
Senufo staff with anthropomorphic figure of a seated female. Made of hardwood.
H. 61 cm. One hand and part of the left foot missing. Excellent age wear and patina.

Unusual Baule mask with three hair knots, large scarifications around the eyes and on the cheeks. A pendant on the forehead. The Van Rijn archive mentions that , according to oral history’ this mask was collected ca 1900, so it would date from the 19th century. H. 32 cm.
Ex French colonial collection, ex private German collection until 2021.
With original pigments and excellent patina.

Note: On this piece a name is written. I couldn't read it very well, but it is something like Imtree Well (?)
A wonderful gilt brass kingfisher hairpin in the shape of a bird, holding a chain with an agath leaf in it's mouth. China, late 19th/early 20th century. L: 14 cm. W. m3,5 cm.
Condition: wear to the feathers.
Good condition, lovely wear and patina. Weight 287 gr. Diameter outside 7,5 cm , inside 5,5 cm. Early 20th century.
Very early figure of a standing male. Early 20th century or older. H. 44,5 cm.

A very rare lobed spittoon enameled with floral decorations very unusual colors, like yellow and purple. Diameter 8,4 cm, H. 4,8 cm. Good condition with normal age wear. Ca. late 19th century.
Finely embossed and engraved with a boy riding a Qilin (fertility symbol), surrounded by Buddhist symbols. Dimensions: 11 x 8 cm. Three holes at the bottom where chains with bells were once attached. See Margareth Duda - Four Centuries of Chinese Silver, for comparable lock pendants.
Excellent wear and patina. Congo, first quarter 20th century. H. 21 cm (mask) or 28 cm including stand.
Depicting a boy on a Qilin, symbol of fertility. Dimensions: the pendant 7 x 8 cm, the chain 54 cm. Weight 60 gr. Ca. 2nd half 19th century.
Stunning pulley with a human figure carrying a bowl on the head. Exceptional patina and age wear. This piece dates from the estly 20th century, but might even date from the late 19th century. H. 23 cm.

A very fine example of Burmese lacquer ware, dating from the Mandalay period, ca. late 19th/early 20th century. Apart from sone minor chips to the lacquer and normal age wear, this offering bowl is in excellent condition. H. 58 cm. Diameter 31 cm.
A lobed tray made of brass and copper, enameled in cloisonné technique, decorated with two dragons chasing the flaming pearl. Dimensions 23 x 18 x 2 cm. The tray is in good condition with normal age wear. Ca. Late 19th century..

Made of silk. Two panels with very fine embroidery of a dragon and a phoenix, with lots of gold thread. The other panels with simple flower patterns. Some of them with gilt brass bells at the bottom. Made of silk, decorated with intricately embroidered panels with flower baskets, butterflies and Buddhist symbols. With 4 solid gold buttons ( total weight ca. 25 gr.) condition: stains and discoloring of the silk, the embroidery in very good condition. Dimensions: 110x135 cm. ca. Late 19th century
Decorated with dragons, fish, butterflies and long life characters, inlaid with glass beads.
The enamels in green, red, purple and several shades of blue. This type of tiaras was worn by high ranking court ladies at the end of the Qing Dynasty. Size: W. 20 cm , H. 11 cm.
Height including stand 38 cm.
Depicting several generations of high ranking officials and their wives. Bright colours and very fine painting. Condition: age wear, paint loss, cracks, traces of repainting. The painting had been remounted. Personally I would remove the borders and have the painting framed. Dimensions: the painting 95 x 150 cm, the scroll 109 x 210 cm.

A very rare piece, this foldable paktong scroll weight, which, when folded out, can be used as a frame for calligraphy. Finely engraved with a crane in a landscape. Dimensions: closed 20x2,3 cm, opened 15,5x7 cm. Age: 19th century. Condition: excellent.
A rare and finely carved boxwood box. The lid carved with a poem, one long side has a scene with three goats in a garden, the other long side has a scene with two figures in a garden with pavillions, one short side has a garden scene with a flying bird, the other short side is plain. On the inside of the box there painted Chinese characters, which possibly represent the name of the owner.
China, 18th or 19th century.
Measurements: L. 11 cm, W. 5cm, H. 4 cm.
Condition: excellent, with beautiful wear and patina.
A bocwood tobacco box, finely carved with geometric patterns, a scene with a saint and a deer and a scene of a fisherman and a bird.
