In Japan Muromachi period 15th century, tea master Juko Murata had been putting forward "wabi-cha" that has become the mainstream of tea ceremony afterwards. And then he had the idea that wabi-cha should have noble mood hidden inside though it seemed coarse at glimpse. He had changed the tea ceremony in Chinese style to Japanese-like style. He picked up a coarse celadon tea cup made in Song dynasty. He thought it was suitable for wabi-cha. The tea cup like this has been called "Juko-seiji" in honor of him afterwards.
