Robert Geissmann was of German origin, and lived in New York. He was probably a freelancer who occasionally worked for Cor and the jewelry sector. He was an inventive designer, with an extremely realistic style which he combined with a touch of irony giving his chosen subject matter an almost fantasy-like appearance and strongly defined expressivity. The barely hinted three-dimensionality of the subject is emphasize by its position and the material and colors used.

As you can see by the patent below, this duette was designed by Gene Verrechio and patented in 1941. Pat # for the duette is Des. 126,490 and for the clip #1798867.
Coro invented the "Duette" in the 1930s. An ingenious invention. The design involves two pin clips that fit together, joined by a mechanism at the back, so they can be worn together as a single brooch. Or, you can take them apart, and wear them separately.

. Coro Sterling Craft Goose in Flight Brooch is Bold in Flight and in Size and remarkable in detail. The brooch was designed in 1941 by Gene Verrecchia. As you can see, the wings are not only detailed, the front wing is curved as it is in actual flight. The goose’s neck is stretched outward, its tail feathers trailing behind. When you hear the sound of the wild geese overhead in migration and look upward, this is the figure we see in the great flocks.

It is 7 1/2" long by 1 3/16" wide by 1/4" tall.
I can say with certainty that this is indeed a rare find. It is not signed. It is circa 1940.
Each full bloom rose has centers of white pave rhinestones on top.
There is no enamel loss, no missing rhinestones, and no dead rhinestones. It is just an incredibly fabulous bracelet.
Anything made by DeRosa is striking in design with high quality enamel work. The floral pieces are especially good, particularly those in the retro style of Hollywood precious jeweler Paul Flato.

In 1973, and again in 1974, the company showed full color ads of their "Artist’s Series". These have no rhinestones, but feature geometric and abstract designs in enamel. According to Harrice Miller’s books (especially her second edition) some of the artists providing inspiration were: Braque, Miro, Chargill, Calder, Vesarely, Picasso and Pucci.
Sometimes this jewelry was made in sets including bracelets, pendants, pins, earrings, and rings. The color combinations were blue, turquoise, and green, also tan, orange, and brown, plus other variations. Some are solid brick red with black lines; others look as if the painted design was an oriental word. The enamel completely covered the metal. One of the ads states that it was baked 27 times!
