A John Round sterling silver gravy ladle made in Sheffield, England in 1911. This 6-3/4" dinnerware flatware serving piece has a pattern that matches the Birks Saxon pattern so this would be a suitable addition to that set. It is fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1911 with the John Round maker's mark. It weighs 73.2 grams and it is in verfy good condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs however it has a script OEC monogram on the handle...

Three dishes or small plates in orange, black and gold, depicting the Austrian coat of arms as it is seen on the Maria Theresienthaler coins. Made as replacements for broken parts of the service originally ordered from China for Jozef Anthon Johan of Austria and dated 1820, just after the Arch Duke had entered his third marriage. Opaline glass bowl in the Brocade pattern, from the John Walsh Walsh glassworks. The opalizing effect was obtained by adding cobalt oxide to the glass, and a complicated procedure of heating and cooling. The opaline patterns made by John Walsh Walsh were produced as early as the turn of the century 1900. Height "3 ¼ / 8 cm, diameter "4 ¾ / 12 cm. Condition: fine.

A pair of English Staffordshire ”Imari” plates, the decoration painted in under-glaze blue and enameled, the rims lustre-glazed. The backs with a printed mark Ironstone China. Early Victorian, c 1830-40. Mason’s was the first manufacturer to launch Ironstone ware but many others were to follow. Diameter "9¾ / 24,5 cm. Condition: some crackling to the glaze to one plate, and a small chip to the underside of the rim (cf. pics).

This lovely set consists of six 5-1/8" pastry forks, the 5-3/4" two-tine pastry server and the fitted velvet and silk lined fitted box.
