The bottom of the box has crashing waves and a large fish sticking its head out from the water. The bottom of the box is marked Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi, "Great Qing Qianlong Period Make". The exterior of the deep rounded sides carved with a band of petals rising from the foot to the flat everted rim, and the interior decorated in the center with two molded fish, covered overall with a glaze of guan type sea-green tone except for the foot rim burnt reddish-brown in the firing 21.7 cm diam. Minor restoration to the hairline on the rim, no chips or other damages.
