This ingenious antique Chinese sundial can be carried in the pocket. When needed, the cover is removed, the pointer is raised and held in place by the notch in the raised semi circle arm. A bronze "bombe" form censer with original stand, profusely carved with mythical creatures and traditional stories and with two fish handles. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Xuande emperor (1426-1435) but this item was made later during the last 100 years of the Qing dynasty (circa 1810-1910). An incense cylinder was carved by excellent craftsmanship.
Depicting the casual scene of a court lady reading a scroll under a pine tree while a attendant boy hidden behind the trunk reaching his head out by curiosity, the craftsman maneuvered his fine and affluent carving skill to make the picture as much detailed and pleasant as well.
The cylinder was carved in deep relief and was pierced through in some portions to allow the incense smoke to swirl out.

A rare huanghuali stationary box with it's original iron hardware and original finish. China, 18th/19th century. Dimensions: 33,5x17x9 cm. Condition: small repair top left front side, a few chips.

This mid 19th century famille-rose seal box is 1¾ inches tall and 3½ inches in diameter. It has Qian Long mark on the bottom. The mark is fictitious which is quite common. It is decorated with a floral design. Though the color is slightly worn and tiny chip appears inside the cover, it is in great condition.

This is a late 19th or early 20th century Chinese carved HuangYang root wood scepter (Ru Yi). It measures 17 inches long and 3 ¼ inches at its widest part. It is in very good condition.
