It is 12.6 inches (32 cm) tall by 10.4 inches (26.5 cm) wide. It weighs 7.2 lb.

It has oxidation, pitting, chips and cracks at the base and dragon's body, stains, a small section of the dragon's body slightly wobbles, felt stickers' residues at the bottom, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Very beautiful and rare scene in ink and natural color pigments on a background of gold leaf and gold spangles of a Chinese scholar surrounded by students or disciples. He is leaning on a table where his tablets, brushes and a basket are placed. He observes a flight of wild geese over a rocky mound, a pine tree and a body of water that ripples among the reeds. Edo period late 18th early 19th century.

Almost square fukusa, or ceremonial cover, made of silk, hand-decorated in yuzen dye technique (mineral colors and gold flakes) and with gold thread embroidery. Image of two open folding fans, connected with red noshi-threads. On the top fan are chrysanthemums along a stream; the bottom fan is decorated with cranes flying above pine trees near the sea. The fans are outlined in gold thread.

The reverse is red silk, decorated with peonies in brocade weave.

A rare antique Japanese Sado Funa Tansu (captain's chest) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Kiri (Paulownia) woods. All original hand forged iron fittings including the case reinforced iron strappings, the autumn bellflower family crest, and the Warabite style handles. Large front door opens to 3 drawers and a faux drawer front behind which is a money box. Bottom right is a short drawer behind which is a secret hiding space accessible from the money box cavity.

An antique Japanese Katana Tansu (sword storage chest) made of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware including the Warabite style handles. Side handles for ease of carrying. Large drawer used to store the Katana while the medium drawer stored the Wakizashi. The small drawer stored the sharpening and cleaning supplies for the weapons.
