A rare ancient gold ring with a natural blue gray stone. Could be a sapphire. This ring is over 1,000 years old. Weight: 1.74 grams

The bronze cast cannon is decorated in low relief of a coiled dragon. The shape handle stock and body represent a carp. The signaling cannons shows a smooth casting which indicates it was lost cast from wax. Fine detailing shows high level of craftsmanship. Mounted on custom Bronze stand.

The beast modelled with a fierce expression portrayed by bulging eyes and bared teeth, with long curled mane and horns. The tail elegantly curved and detailed with finely incised lines. Beni-itajime-zome (board-clamped dyeing with safflower) han-juban (short under kimono). The body part is hand-spun cotton and the sleeves are figured silk and the wrist parts are wool muslin. In good condition but the dirty line in the neck, rips in the front sleeve and some moth holes in the wrists. Late 19th to early 20th century. 125cm x 66cm
