Framed Chinese 18th Century, mid- Qing dynasty Qianglong period kesi 5 claws dragon cushion cover. This rare, delicate red ground gold threads kesi cover is decorated with a 5 claws dragon surround by sea waves, clouds, auspicious symbols and pair of bats. We like to offer you a rare Japanese Hagi Chawan called 'Gohon Chawan', made in the old Korean style from ancient times and dating from the mid Edo period.

Colour and glaze are equally rare and wonderful. We offer this fantastic chawan together with its Edo period wooden storage box and its cloth pouch called 'Shifuku'.

This Hagi Gohon Chawan has a split cross footring called 'warekodai'. Tea bowls of this style were favored by busho chajin (warrior tea men)...

A finely painted sometsuke bowls decorated with alternating reserves of three leaping koi divided by a criss-cross ground or “nets” and a central motif of a Chinese landscape featuring a figure collecting fire wood with his head looking skyward. This is probably a representation of Ceng Shen (So Shin) collecting fire wood, a disciple of Confucius , who whilst looking at the moon suddenly became aware that his mother needed him, a popular Confucian parable of filial piety...

A wonderful mid Edo Period (1603-1868) Hiragata Ao-Oribe Chawan with a rounded brim, made of light, coarse, unrefined Mino clay. The expertly thrown body was trimmed with a potters knife and covered with the typical green copper oxide glaze inside and outside.

The tea bowl is in fine antique condition with no cracks or repairs and comes with a very good Japanese wooden box.

A pair of Kangxi-Yongzheng lotus-shaped blue and white dishes, freely painted with floral sprays in nine separate panels encircling a central field. Both dishes have very fine and luminous glaze.

Condition report: Dish 1 is basically perfect with only slight wear to rim edges...

The Kangxi(康熙）period is the day when the ceramic industry ruined at the last Ming dynasty had been rebuild, and many excellent pieces had been produced at both government kiln and folk kiln. This piece has picture of flushou (福禄寿）and the superlative seal mark of folk kiln on the back. The Yongzheng period saw the emergence of famille rose porcelains, which marked a break from the more bold Kangxi wucai...

Width approximately 18.5 cm (across the handles). Height approximately 11.5 cm included the stand. There are a sticker mark and light effects on the body, no patches or damage to the body. At the base, there are erosions, peeling skin, and a skin crack. More pictures are available. In good condition.

A strong mokogata iron tsuba of tight mokume. I favor mokume work and this is a virtuous example worthy of any collection. Boar's eye sukashi decoration in the four corners. Uchikaeshi mimi.
