This is a very special example of Japanese Cloisonne. The workmanship and elegant form are what makes this piece so special. This vase was acquired from one of the world's greatest cloisonne collections. It measures 12 inches tall. Great overall condition but it does has a very tiny enamel flake (See last image) on the back shoulder and minor pitting. It is not signed.

19th Century Korean Sword with missing scabbard. Condition is good but slightly shaky. Overall length is 35 inches (89cm), blade is 26 inches (66cm).

This middle or late 18th century Japanese wood netsuke is 3 ¼ inches tall, 1 inch wide and ¾ inch thick. It was carved from unknown softwood and not signed. It depicts a famous Chinese historical character GUAN YU. His right hand is holding a weapon (long handled knife) and his left hand is holding a book called ¡°Spring-Autumn Annals¡±. It is in great condition.

A well potted porcelain vase in with an very decorative underglaze cobalt blue decoration. The shape of this vase is rare. The underglaze cobalt blue on the vase is superb. Underglaze Yongzheng Mark ( 1723 - 1735 ). The Vase is probably of the Period or later. Provenance : Old German collection. H : 17,6 cm. Condition : Perfect

Chinese 10th-12th Century small vase. 8cm high. vase has two small chipped at the mouth rim and has been repaired.

An finely preserved large triangular stamp seal with knob handle in a jet black stone, Western Mesopotamia, probably c. 3rd.-2nd. millenium BC.

Large for type and with a deep relief engraving of animals and with other symbols etc in the fields.

Size: About 29 mm. wide - 13 mm. tall.

Condition: Nice Very fine, intact, some even wear.

A Fine Blue and White Porcelain Globular Jar: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century The small jar of globular form resting on a ring foot and with an upright neck ending in a straight cut lip, painted in underglaze blue with two Buddha hands around the body, below a color of clouds, the clear glaze thick wih a blue tinges. It has two chips around the rim, otherwise fine condition with a clean foot. Measurements; 14cm h. x 15.2cm d. (5 1/2” x 6”).

An attractive antique 19th Century Bronze Elephant Bell from Burma with intricate relief design on both sides. Has 2 clappers which make a loud sonorous sound when in motion. Good condition. Chinese Yuan Dynasty Glazed Stoneware Jar

This stoneware jar was made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). It is quite "heavily-potted" and made from a sandy coloured stoneware. The inner and upper outer surfaces have been coated in a chocolate-brown glaze. Around the shoulder on opposing sides are two loop handles...

An ancient Egyptian Scarab, c. 1550 BC, from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is 7/16” long (11 mm) and made of milky amethyst. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and to help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.

A very rare round, domed ceramic chop ink container with paintings of "a hundred boys." The background is off-white with the paintings of the rotund little boys at play in cobalt blue. The surface is heavily crazed. Kangxi seal mark.

Size: Height = 5.8 cm (2-1/4 inches, Diameter = 13.8 cm (5-7/16 inches)

Condition: The bottom has chips along the rim, possibly from trying to pry it open at one time. Can be restored...

This celadon jade cup has two handles, a slightly pronounced rim, and is set on a raised foot. The body is carved with three lines of raised knobs along the sides, with two straight, vertical handles on opposite sides. The stone is of a very light translucent celadon tone with a whitish patch that has a reddish-brown outline near the foot. The base of one handle has an indented and polished area, and a carved line under the overhang of the handle...
