This is a very beautiful cylindrical body brush pot painted with varied scenery in famille rose palette with a continuous scene of lakeside landscape of distance pavilion, walled monastery and tea house scattered amidst tress and layered mountains in various shade of blue and green and red with texture stroke and with high peaks in the distance.

There are people walking about and in the tea house set in a tranquil and peaceful lake side and mountain village atmosphere...

This pair of Famille Rose Mille Fleures (thousand flowers) demitasse are late Qing Dynasty products. The saucers are 4 3/4 inches in diameter and 1 inch high, the cups are 2 1/4 inches high and 2 1/8 inches wide. They depict a large pink peony in the center while chrysanthemum, lily, hibiscus, iris and several unknown flowers cover entire bodies. The cups have bamboo design handles. There are Guang Xu (1875~1908) marks and three separate floral (peony) designs on the bottoms...

This late 19th century Chinese blue and white vase is 9 ¼ inches high and 4 ½ inches on the widest part. It depicts a mother lion playing with her cub. Aside from two small chips on the rim, it is in great condition.

This rare Qing Dynasty mirror folds flat for storage and traveling. The hand-carved wooden frame depicts bamboo stalks, and the mirror cover carving depicts an iris plant in full bloom. The cover drops forward and down thru the legs to the rear where it acts as a back support while the mirror is in use. Protected by a rear wood panel, the original silvered glass mirror does show its age...

This is a charming traditional Chinese child's "wind hat" so called because of the protection the hat gives to the back of the neck. The silk threads of the satin stitched embroidery depict lots of flowers and butterflies. Hat is in good condition

Rare Mid Edo Period choba, merchant's chest, from the Sakata area, made of kiri (paulownia) wood with original patina (not refinished), nice iron hardware, interior (behind sliding panels) contains set of five drawers (three on the right, 2 on the left) and one hidden drawer. Incredibly rare Large oversized iron handles flanking each side of the chest.

Possibly made from an old kimono, this sweet drawstring purse charming painted and appliqued scenes of trees, rocks and flowers going around the body of the purse. The bottom shows a country gentleman sitting on a rock under a tree enjoying the mountain view. overall condition is very good, however the fabric sleeve for the drawstring is deteriorated. This is a 16th/17th Century blue and white bowl. On the outside of the bowl it is painted with a chi-dragon with bifurcated tail and a plant. On the inside of the bowl, it shows a chi-dragon twirling around in a circle.

There is no hairline crack, chip, repair or restoration. Only minor rim and foot fritting, pin holes and some sand grits on the base on the inside of the bowl...

This is a Song dynasty (960 – 1276) porcelain cosmetic box and cover. The sides and bottom half is ribbed to look like a melon form, the recessed top is moulded in the form of a stylised double flower with a short stalk. The box is covered in a pale bluish glaze of yingqing type, which pools in the crevasses to an aquamarine tone. The rims and base are unglazed, exposing the white porcellanous body underneath...

This is a late Ming dynasty (16th / 17th Century) blue and white bowl. On the outside of the bowl it is painted, all around the bowl, with blue background with three sets of lotus flower and foliage and three white cranes or herons in white colour. On the inside of the bowl, a small lotus flower is shown blooming from the top view.

There is some abrasion, sand grits on the base and inside of the bowl as shown in the pictures and minute unglazed spots (pic 2)...

This is museum quality, small Liao dynasty (907-1125) sancai green glazed moulded moon flask ewer. It stands on a flat foot rising to a rounded side body with a spout mouth and a handle. The top opening of the ewer is moulded into the shape of five leaves in five divided panels (picture 6)...

Upon seeing eyeglasses on visiting Western dignitaries and businessmen, the Chinese perceived and admired these "spectacles" as age enhancing. Not only did the eyeglasses improve eyesight...but they added age and dignity to the face of the wearer. This is a small mid Qing dynasty bronze cloisonné censer with an elongated body. It is design in the likeness of those in the Ming dynasty, with lotus flowers band and scrolling foliages. On the shoulder of the cloisonné, it is decorated all round with a band ruyi with red and blue colour. It is supported four massive fat and short cabriole legs and with two ear like handles.

It is in very good condition.

This is a nice piece and of museum quality Tang dynasty ((618 – 906 A.D.) copper green glaze ewer. The shape of the ewer looks stout and strong. It has a long body with a small handle, two lugs and a short stout spout. The neck is straight and slightly high with a short and thicken everted rim.
