Antique Korean single section cabinet made with elm wood and hardwood burl panels. Hardware is made of brass. Beautiful rich patina. The upper portion has four small drawers in a horizontal row along the very top. The body of the chest is mostly made up of two large compartments opened by hinged doors.

A beautifully carved cinnabar round box depicting a sage and his attendant walking under a pine tree in a waterfront scene. We date this box to mid-Qing Dynasty, 18th century. The box is in very good antique condition, with some expected minor loses and small chips, parts of the rims are retouched. Antique Japanese choba tansu made of keyaki (elm) wood. The top portion has two small drawers. The middle portion has a compartment opened by sliding panels with horizontal slats. The slats are made of quarter sawn keyaki wood which dramatically accents the striped quality of the wood grain. Below this is a single large drawer. The hardware is made of iron and includes round lock plates.

A Chinese porcelain gourd-shaped vase in coral-red glaze. "Daqing Jiaqing Nianzhi" six characters mark inside the foot rim, and of the period. The vase is in excellent condition: no chip, no crack, no restoration, but just a few glaze scratches. Height: 6".

Japanese special set of 10 Kichi arrows, with consecration marks by the Kichijo-ji Temple. Kichi means good omen. Forged steel, with red lacquered tips. Mounted in splayed fan shape. Very unusual original red lacquered tips.

This is beautiful Japanese antique Satsuma box with very fine detailing. The white enameling in the flowers and leaves with the gold detail s remind us of work seen on some Seikozan or Shizan pieces. A load of time consuming workmanship went into this piece. It is in outstanding condition with minor gold wear. The box measures 4 3/8 by 3 1/4 inches and is about 2 inches deep. It is not chipped, cracked or repaired. Any discoloration where the lid sets down is missing gold from wear or dirt...

This jade skull is yellowish green and is from the Hongshan Neolithic Culture. It was dated to 6700BP-4900BP. It is 1 7/8" long and 1 5/8" wide. It has marvelous patina and the color is mesmerizing. It is 100% translucent. The jade is extremely fine grained and top quality. This could have been the top of a shaman's staff. BEWARE, this is one of the most reproduced fakes out there, especially on eBay. This one is the real deal. I no longer use "in my opinion" COAs...

A late Joseon dynasty mother of pearl inlaid black lacquer cosmetic and mirror box of drawers. Cranes and peaches decoration on the top. Butterflies, flowers and rockery decoration on the sides. A Chinese small rectangular-mouthed vase made of Yixing zisha clay and finished with Jun-glaze (宜鈞） . 17th to 18th Century. The vase is in perfect condition. Height: 9.5 cm

Wonderful distorted shoe shaped (kutsugata) tea bowl made of light, fine, unrefined Mino clay. Shape and style make it appear contemporary with the late Oribe bowls. The expertly thrown body is covered with the typical black oniita engobe inside and outside - with the exception of the bottom - over which a white, feldspatic Shino glaze has been poured.

Just the foot ring and its immediate surrounding was left unglazed...

Chogappo made of fragments of asa (choma,ramie or hemp) whose wefts and warps are hand-plied. A Large Fine/Rare Korean Copper-Red Decorated Wine Bottle-19th C.: Korea,Joseon dynasty, 19th century. Of compressed globular form with attenuated cylindrical neck painted with grapevine and grapes on one side and on the other in copper red, grayish white glaze applied over the surfaces including base, firing grits adhered on foot rim. It’s in fine condition but one horizontal hairline crack on lower body. Measurement: 30.3cm x 19.2cm d.

Finely cast, with nice details, miniature statue of bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, standing on a lotus base, his left hand holding what seems to be a gourd. A Han style (maybe of the period) white jade cicada in simple design and carved with clean lines showing superior craftsmanship. We date it Qing Dynasty or earlier, but it was probably from Han Dynasty. Condition: there are some calcification on the tip of the wings, which caused some tiny chips; some age veins on the lower part of the cicada (please see photo #4 and #5 for details). A Vietnamese 15th century blue and white large yuhuchun vase with bird motif, good condition with part of the rim has been damage restored, size: 31 cm height.

Mosaic glass pendant in the shape of a bearded head, surmounted by a large loop for attachment to a necklace. Phenicia, or Carthage, archaic period, 350 to 200 B.C. Height: 6.1 cm. This is a great Japanese cloisonne vase. It is not signed but it was created by one of the master artists from the Meiji Era. Years ago this vase was acquired from the Avo Krikorian Collection. It stands 6 1/4 inches tall. Condition is excellent.

A nicely carved jade pendant in the shape of a bamboo surrounded by leaves in two colors. Bamboo is a Chinese symbol for longevity because of its durability, strength, flexibility and resilience. It survives in the harshest conditions. Size: H. 6 cm. W. 4.2 cm. Condition: No repairs.

This is a small but very beautiful little vase from the Meiji Era. It is highly detailed and except for the leaves and branches, it was done in the basse-taille styl. The glowing cobalt color is even more intense in person. best in the last image. This vase stands just 2 1/2 inches tall and is 1 3/4 inches wide. It has silver rims and is signed on the bottom Kawaguchi Bunzaeoman.
