This is a beautifully decorated Neolithic vase, standing just over 7" in height. While the body of the vase is intact and free of repair, it appears to me that the top may have been ground down, although I'm not 100% sure. Additionally, one or more of the four horn-like projections near the rim appear to have been reattached and/or replaced. Notwithstanding, the decoration and potting are superb, as the photos hopefully will show...
This is a painted earthenware double-loop handled vase of a type generally classified as Majiayao culture (Machang style). The piece measures just under 5-1/2" inches high and is completely intact and free of repair. Exceptional root marking is visible on the surface which is painted in a series of loops and swirls. Beautifully potted example.
This is an intact and very fine example of this ware which, to me, seems to incorporate a human torso, standing with arms and legs akimbo. The colors are quite vivid, with an aubergine purple in addition to the black outlining. The piece is well and thinly potted, standing some 7" in height.It swells out to some 7" in diameter, measured across the area of the two rings ("lugs").

A rare and complete group of an ox and carriage in grey pottery with remains of polychrome. China, Tang Dynasty (618-907). The result of the thermoluminescence test by Kotalla is consistent with the dating of this lot.
The report is included in the sale. Dimensions: the carriage H. 32 cm, L. 23 cm, the ox H. 18 cm, L. 23 cm. Condition: very good, no visible repairs, although repairs on early pottery are quite common and accepted.
