A small thinly potted wine or tea cup delicately painted in shades of underglaze blue with traditional Chinese landscape scenes. The cup is bound with a metal (copper) rim, apparently made to cover a burst glaze bubble. On the base is a four character shop mark which reads "Shun Li Kun Ji". The makers mark was in use during the late Qing / early Republic period so we assume that this item was made during the late 19th or early 20th Century. Beautiful emerald green Peking glass bowl with scalloped edge. Dates circa 1900 and measures 5" across by 2.5" high.

This is a fine bronze Buddhist votive shrine from the middle of the 19th. century ( Qing ) continuing the tradition of the Northern Wei Dynasty. The shrine has four splayed legs cast with an inscription and is cast in relief with a seated figure of Buddha.

As you can see, it is in good condition.

18C Chinese Yongzheng Export Iron Red Boy Goat Cup and Saucer The cup and saucer are painted in iron red heightened with gilt. The flower-shaped saucer and cup are decorated with a boy playing with goats opposite a prunus branch and rockwork. The center of the cup is painted with a flower symbol. Size: Cup: 8.4 diam. 3.9 cm tall Saucer: 12.8 cm diam. Condition: Several hairlines on the saucer shown in the pictures. Cup in excellent condition.

This marked, rare, fish decorated bowl comes from an old German colletion. The condition of the glaze of the bowl is so perfect and glossy that it simply is impossible that this bowl is an excavated piece. Extremely rare. Excellently potted porcelain body with a lipped everted rim, covered with an excellent Celadon-coloured glaze. The base unglazed. Yue ware ( Yueyao ) Tang Dynasty - Five Dynasties ( 10th. century ). Diameter: 14,4 cm. H : 8,3 cm. Condition: One crack and one filled "split-off" to the inside of the rim ( please see the enlargement ). Excellent glaze condition. The body despite the short crack, still with a very nice "ping-tone" when tapped.

Hard stone cup, probably Jadeite. The more or less pale nuanced ocher colored stone is stained with a pretty green and veined with rust. The cut is very thin which required good control. Uneven grinding and a soft sheen suggest that this cut is ancient, difficult to date with certainty. Chinese work from the 19th century or before. Size:85x68x15mm Good condition.

Chinese Qing dynasty Nanking ware bowl decorated around the center in underglaze blue with figures in a landscape setting of mountains, trees, traditional huts, and boats on a lake. The flaring top rim and base have brown incised bands that are characteristic of brown etched wares produced between 1880 and 1920. A heavy 19th Century lotus shaped porcelain deep bowl decorated on the outside with famille rose enamels depicting a dignatory and boys in a garden landscape. The base bears the six character seal mark ( painted in iron red) of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874). Condition: very good - there is wear to the turquoise glazed interior but no damages and no restoration. 14.5 cm diameter; 6 cm deep

A Blanc de Chine Libation Cup. Of rhinoceros horn form on one side with a tiger seated below flowering prunus whilst looking up at a Dragon. The other with a deer below pine and a stork. Chinese 18thC. Height 7.2 cm. Length 13.7 cm. Condition: there is a shallow glaze flake 0.4 cm and 0.3 cm to the rim (See last image) and a small flake in the foot.

This well worn pair of Woman's Lotus shoes for bound feet are from the later part of the Qing Dynasty about 1870-1880. The vamp fabric is red cotton with a matching floral embroidery pattern on each side. The delicate hand stitching detail clearly shows the pride taken by the owner/maker. The soles are short of the toe vamp which was done to give the wearer a more floating and sensual appearance when walking.
