This is a high quality and very refined pair of Japanese Cloisonne vases. Though not quite as prolific work as on some pieces, the quality is very high. With almost pitless enamel and a high highly sheen, these vases glow. Condition is excellent and these vases are 4 3/4 inches tall.

Free of any loss or repair, this beautifully enameled vase on a copper base stands some 7-1/2 inches in height. Wonderfully elegant and understated.

Enclosed in silver wire of varied thickness, boldly enameled iris grace this deep blue 6.5" Japanese cloisonne vase.

Condition: Three tiny red cloisons under the top rim are missing, behind these are small chips. The damage is under the rim at the back of the vase above the single iris bud and is not easily seen. There are no other issues.

This is a rare and large wireless cloisonne vase. It is not signed but because of the Iris flowers and water plants we believe it was made by Gonda. In fact we once had a signed Gonda piece with Koi and almost identical water plants. A beautiful large vase that looks perfect but upon very close inspection, a line deep in the enamel can be seen in bright light. I show it on the last image. This vase 18 1/2 inches tall, heavy and stoutly made.

Here is a beautiful but unsigned Namikawa Sosuke vase. Those familiar with Sosuke's work, will know this vase was made by the master and is authentic. It's a stoutly made piece with silver rims. It stands 6 1/4 inches tall. This vase is in excellent condition. I have also provided an image of a later made, but very similar signed Sosuke vase.

19th century decent size Japanese champleve vase with high shoulders and two black and white enamel registers consisting of repeating characters FUKU (happiness), ROKU (wealth) and JU (longevity), and two registers of intricate scrolls, pendant leaves on the shoulder. Small and elegant vase from around 1900, silver thread cloisonne enamel depicting flowers and birds in the style of Hayashi Kodenji. Auspicious Kanji mark to base: great happiness (?). Height "6/ 15.3 cm. Condition: enamel loss on the shoulder covered with black paint (cf. pics) and an associated scratch mark.

Charming Japanese antique small cloisonne vase decorated with a scene of two koi swimming in a stream under blossoming wisteria, the flowers are done in purple, pink, yellow and white, the entire scene set on a turquoise blue ground, bottom contains an image of a bell (or suzu) with the name Gokou stamped onto the bottom, Meiji Period. An exquisitely detailed 5" silver wired scenic cabinet vase decorated with four panels, each representing a different bird - a white egret in a stream, a sparrow and bamboo, a hawk perched on a pine tree, and a finch on a flowering branch. Highly polished, the workmanship is exceptional. The throat and base are gilded, the rims silver. It is marked on the bottom rim within a reserve "SILVER". Condition: Excellent, with no chips, hairlines or repairs.

Japanese cloisonné bottle form lidded vase on a Satsuma earthenware substrate with "kidney bean" cloisons, signed in orange-red on the base "Kinkozan." The body of the vase is decorated with opposing blue flower filled cartouches with white borders set against a black background permeated with flowers. This is a very fine Japanese cloisonne vase done in the style of Namikawa Yasuyuki. It is not signed but we believe it was made by Honda, another great Meiji era artist. The enamels are rich in color and this heavy vase has a superb high gloss sheen. It stands 4 3/4 inches tall and is in excellent condition.

This is a wonderful Ando signed Gonda cloisonne vase. The vase is combination very complex wireless and silver wire work, with a hint of moriage enamel. The lower flowering lily pad is moriage. The vase stands 12 1/4 inches tall and is in excellent condition.
