A beautiful sapphire blue Qianlong period (1736-1795) small wasted and broad shouldered jar. The cobalt blue mimics the old heap and pile effect of the earlier Ming dynasty. The glaze has a silkly smooth texture typical of early 18th C. porcelains. A fine Yuan dynasty longquan celadon large dish, rounded side with bracket lobbed rim and glazed base, there is a ring for firing at the base, dish decorated with rare tree motif at the center and vertical ribbing suggesting flower petal motif, dish covered with good green glaze.
Dish is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, porcelain with high ping sound with finger tip.

The head of longish oval shape, with clearly delineated eyes and lids lowered in meditation, a smiling mouth and tiny curls covering head and ushnisha.

Sandstone was a highly coveted material during the early part of the Ayutthaya period, and the use of curved lines and petite bumps for hair reflect the influence of Indian Gupta stylization.

This early 20th century Famille Rose snuff bottle features hand painted chrysanthemum, cherry, rose, peony and other unknown blossoms on a white background. It is 2 3/8” high, 2 1/8” wide and 1 1/8” thick. The cap and spoon are replacements. It is in very good condition.
