A late 19th "Yun" lacquered betel box with incised design of animals, elephant,snake,crab etc and dancer. The box is divided into three pieces. Slightly distorted half cylinder shaped (hanzutsu) chawan with a rounded brim, made of light, refined Mino clay. The expertly thrown body was only slightly trimmed with a potter's knife in its lower part. The shape is of a type frequently found in early Shino bowls.
Under the semi-opaque Shino glaze is a decoration of criss-cross lines representing grass and something which maybe a landscape, executed in iron-bearing clay (oniita)...

Excellent carving, beautifully stained, wonderful wear and patina. A good Song - Yuan dynasty longquan celadon large dish with twin fish motif, rounded side with flattened rim and glazed base, dish decorated with rare and clear large twin fish motif at the center and raising lotus petal motif at exterior, dish covered with good green glaze.
Dish is in good condition no crack, no chip, no restoration, porcelain with high ping sound with finger tip.

Pair of dramatic Japanese large bronze candlesticks. Each candlestick depicts strolling vines with blossoming flowers on all sides. Small detail are seen down to each petal. The bronze nail head is in great condition and could easily support large candles an be used once again.

Bats, symbol of good fortune, flit over the sunset surface of this Ki-seto vase by Kato Sakusuke enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Kiseto Kabin. An inscription inside begins Fukuju ? Zu (Lucky ? Image) and appears to be dated 1919 in the 60 year cyclical Zodiac calendar (possibly 1859). This is followed by the signature of a painter who also signed and dated the vase, indicating Sakusuke made the vase, while another artist provided the decoration...

This is a beautiful & nice size Chinese yixing teapot with brass mount on red clay. The teapot is brass mounted on the rims, spout & finial. The teapot is in excellent condition! It's signed MENGCHEN on the base.
Antique Japanese small ko tansu (chest for personal storage). Made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. The chest has sliding panels on the top portion which open two a single compartment. Below this is a row of 3 small drawers over two full-width drawers. Hardware is made of cast iron.
