Mexican Pre Columbian Tlatilco Terracotta face fragment with large nose. Rare fragment from an early culture c 1200bc-600bc. Tlatilco is noted in particular for its high quality pottery pieces, many featuring Olmec iconography. Tlatilco figures were known for their elaborate hair styles. This face has wonderful detail with the hair and eyes, as well as a large nose . Great little display piece. Size 2.5" by 2"
Four flat dishes with spur marks and so probably Japanese, Meiji c 1900, all with a matted powder blue glaze, also covering the back and the foot rim. Diameter "8/ 20 cm. Condition: minimal glaze frits to the rim of two plates, as seen on photos.

Rare Large Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Glazed Buddhist Zodiac Jar
This very rare pottery jar was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), or possibly the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) and has been been excavated from a Buddhist site in Yunnan province.
It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been coated in a green glaze that is very thin in places.
Around the waist of the jar have been applied twelve mouldings, the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac...
Unusual japanese bronze flower vase, signed with the original kiri (paulownia wood) tomobako box. On the lid of the box is the kanji 'Sentoku Tsubogata Hanaire' meaning the design is like a japanese tsubo or tea storage jar and smoked straw was used at the end of firing to achieve the rich colored markings and patina. The vase is a 'hanaire' meaning a flower vase. The hanko or seal of the artist is on the box but unfortunately we cant read it. perfect condition with karaki wood stand...

A gosu blue Satsuma sculpture depicting Jurōjin 寿老人, one of the seven lucky God (shichifukujin 七福神) holding a fan with his right hand and finely decorated with red, turquoise and blue polychrome enamels enriched with gold motifs.
The Kimono is finely decorated with floral and phoenix motifs.
The sculpture is signed Satsuma Senjudō’ 薩摩宣壽堂 on the back within a rectangular gold reserve with Shimazu Mon (Emblem of the Shimazu family).

sashiko hanten are the coats worn by firemen for protecting their bodies. Some have pictures,some are of all repeated patterns, and the others are unfigured indigo ones or ones with a medalion on the back.
It is a polychrome in the cotton ground that is black, is gray, blue, blue, white, beige, etc...

A Chinese round porcelain charger with robin's egg glaze, with slightly flared rim, the recessed foo with white underglaze and old stickers to show provenance. The robin's egg glaze technique requires low-firing and uses two different colors of mottled purple-blue and turquoise.

19th century Japanese kozuka (sword knife) handle with multimetal inlays depicting two silver fern fronds and a length of shimenawa - a rice straw rope used for ritual purification in the Shinto religion. This very well carved and designed carved bamboo root brush washer is an early-20th century product. It is 1 7/8” high and 5 7/8” wide (measured from the widest part). It depicts old pine trees with a crane resting on one of the limbs. According to Chinese tradition, pine trees and cranes represent longevity. It is in great condition.

A nice piece of Ming dynasty blue and white bowl of a pair of Foo lion dog chasing after the rattan ball with ribbons. In the center of the bowl, it has a symbol of a swastika in the form of clouds.
