A green "Celadon" glazed dish or shallow bowl with flat bracketed rim. The centre is decorated with a moulded peony flower; surrounding this the thick green glaze is incised with stylized lotus scrolls. This item was made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province circa 1400-1500 during the first half of the Ming dynasty. An antique Tibetan religious storage cabinet used for food preparation with lift-off cover. Hand painted front panel depicting a scene featuring a seated Buddha with worshippers, a temple, elephants, a deer, a monkey, ducks, horse, a rabbit, and a wise man surrounded by attendants. The panel is framed with an arabesque design.

A spectacular and intricately detailed painted Japanese Satsuma Koro. The painted features display Buddhist monks surrounded by an encircling phoenix on either side, beautifully gilted and accented with flowers and four legs that sport foo dog faces.
