Antique Japanese large lacquer fumibako (letter box for paper), beautiful design of silver hydrangeas flowers with gold lacquer leaves on top and sides, black lacquer with nishiji (gold fleck) ground, interior with the same black lacquer and nishiji ground, underside of lid with dramatic gold makie lacquer scene of young pine sprouts and grass, Meiji Period. A small carved seated figure of an official made in China during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or earlier. Condition - there are some losses to the wood and there are extensive losses to the old paintwork and gilding...

Six pages (3 double sides) of a Tibetan/Mongolian music manuscript with YANG-YIG GRAPHIC MUSIC NOTATION. Inks on paper. Good condition, finger marks to corners, stain across centre fold, each page 19 x 6 cm cm. Undated estimated to be late 19th century or earlier. In thick double fronted mount. Can be viewed in London. Such texts would have been used as a mnemonic device by the master of chant. The type of graphic notation of the melody line goes back to the 6th century...

A very nice blue and white vase from Kangxi period, Qing Dynasty. A Very Fine and Rare Bronze Bowl/Cover with a Beautiful Patina. Korea, Koryo dynasty (11th – 14th century. The deep bowl with thinly cast, sloping steep sides and sharply tapering to a raised, mounted on a splayed raised ring foot, with overall covered with a beautiful blackish olive green patina including the cover and with a lotus bud shaped knob.
