Hand written Nepalese manuscript. Undated estimated to be 17/18th century or earlier. Anointing marks on cover, one illustration, 70 sides of text, each 20x 7.5 cm. No loose pages. Can be viewed in central London and shipped worldwide.

A rare 18th/19th Century carved agate snuff bottle with, possibly later, silver and rose quartz stopper. On the stopper is inscribed the Shanghai silversmiths "Wen Yuan" who are recorded as having traded from the Jiaqing (1796-1820) reign through until the Republic period (1912- 1949). Condition - excellent - there is a shallow chip on top, next to the mouth (please view enlargement 11) no further damages and no restoration. 5cm (2inches) high; 4.8cm (1.9 inches) wide.

This very fine drilled 6 1/4" carved bone shawl or hair pin depicts three birds eating a large snake and is engraved on both sides. It is beautifully patinated.

Size : 17cm wide, 9,5 cm high. Teapot in good conditions, except small chipped at the lid and nearly can't see with the eyes hairline at the lid.

A rare and delicate QING Dynasty Silver and Paktong Opium Pipe with beautifully detailed metalwork, which because of its size probably belonged to a Lady. The damper is held by a hand and decorated with a fine Peony flower. Good condition. Size: Length 6.5" (16.5 cm.) Origin: China. A very nice custom made wooden stand as shown in photograph # 1 comes with this opium pipe (included)...

Antique Korean bowl with crackle celadon glaze. The bowl's interior is incised with design of flowers and filigree, with a line incision just below the rim. The outer body is slightly ribbed, tapering to the recessed foot.

14th Century Koryo Dynasty

An 18th century Japanese Arita porcelain moulded dish, circa 1750 ~ 1780. The dish with a cavetto moulded with foliage and lotus flowers within a barbed rim. The centre sporting a fine underglaze blue ferocious dragon and pearl amongst coloured clouds. Within the foot-rim is an unusual six-character Yongzheng mark. A dish of this design is illustrated in Shibata, “Complete Catalogue of the Shibata Collection” The Kyushu Ceramic Museum, # 3359.

Approximately 21.2cm diameter...

An interesting and scarce stone seal in black stone of the Late Babylonian type, probably 1st. millenium, but could be earlier.

With a hieroglyphic looking sign engraved in the base.

Size: c. 25 mm. tall.

Northern Indian Mogul dynasty 1526–1858, established by Babur, Muslim descendant of Tamerlane, the 14th -century Mongol leader. The Mogul emperors ruled until the last one, Bahadur Shah II, was dethroned and exiled by the British; they included Akbar, Aurangzeb, and Shah Jahan...

Tenuki is depicted standing, his head covered by his huge scrotum. It is carved in a wood that seems to me to be cherry. The sculpture is simple and vigorous. The netsuké is ideally compact in shape. The patina of the wood is very old and beautiful. There is a 2 characters signature which I have not translated but can do on request. It is probably a well-known artist. I think beginning of 19°, but maybe before. Height: 55mm Very worn.

Rare silver-alloy Buddha, Ayuthaya period, Siam, Bhumisparsha Mudra position. 17/18th Century. Natural dark aged patina. Good condition. Size H. 10.5 cm. x W. 7.8 cm x D. 3.7 cm. excluding ancient gilt wooden stand.

1900's Japanese Ando Jubei Cloisonne Box with Gold & Silver Wires & Maple Tree & Birds

It is 2.28 inches (5.8 cm) tall by 4.76 inches (12.1 cm) wide and 6.45 inches (16.4 cm) in length. It is 2.6 Lb.

It is tarnished and has enamel chips, enamel bruises, rubbing of gold, minor bent and cut marks at the inner metal rim, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

A unusually elaborate pottery figure of female Attendant, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD.), dating to late Ming period c. 1550-1650 AD.

The lady wears a challenging dress, baring her shoulders and bosom. She has an imposing hairdress with flowers, and a flirting facial expression. She carries a large can for wine in her hand, and is standing on a round plint...

A mold-made votive figure of the god Thot, depicted here seated as a Baboon holding a round object and very detailed with remnants of pigments.

Interesting, large figures like this are usuaully only encountered in faiance or stone so a scarce late representation in terracotta.
