A Very Rare and Fine Korean Gilt Bronze Figure of Buddha 7th - 8th C.:
Korea, Unified Silla period, 8th 10th Century.
It is cast solid, standing with the hands held in varsa and abhayamudra dressed in loose
robes failing from the shoulders and opening to reveal the bare chest,
the serene face below the protuberant usnisa, the back cast open,
set on two-tiered lotus base supported on a six petal stan.

This very nice ivory carving of a traveling merchant is a 19th century product. It is 8” high (9” high with wood base) and, measured from the bottom, is 2 ¼” in diameter. This bare foot elder wears a turban and an old traditional (perhaps Afghan) robe. He has a sharp, wrinkled face; his hair is long and curly. He carries a soft cloth bag over his right shoulder; his right hand is holding a wood or bamboo stick...
19th century Japanese small lacquered wood netsuke representing a theatrical mask of Shishiguchi representing the spirit of shishi with characteristic tusks, most frequently used for the Noh play Shakkyo (The Stone Bridge). This piece, probably made in southern China is glazed on the outside overall except the base and base with a lustrous translucent emerald green glaze. The glaze stops just short of the foot in a thickened curtain effect of gloss and deep green tone. carvers. It is finely lacquered over paloma wood. Signed with original case. This

A well potted porcelain bowl, covered with a creamy white, crackled glaze and an overglaze enameled decoration with lion and phoenix in red, green and black. Ming Dynasty 17th. century Swatow ware. Remarkable on this bowl is the fact that the rim of the bowl seems to be unglazed, and the base is fully covered with glaze.
