Five dynasties yueyao small dish. 13cm diameter, 3,5cm high. Dish has some fritting at back side mostly.

This sculpture includes an inscription on the reverse and is dated to "1427 Samvat," a date that places the sculpture in the 15th century. The piece has sustained a loss to the "edging" along the top (viewer's) right,as well as a loss adjacent to the "canopy," visible in the photograph. The casting quality is, in my opinion, outstanding,completely consistent with the early Jain classical style of sculpture. The piece has a beautiful, warm brown patina. It measures 6-1/4" in height.

In our opinion this is the best Iga Vase, we have ever seen. Massive and intentionally distorted Vase of wonderful native Iga clay. The vase is 3300 g heavy and has a height of 8,1'' and a width of 7,1'', which is very tall for an antique Iga vase.

The vase was made between 1800 - 1850 during the later Edo Period and is in good antique condition. No repairs. Only an untimportant chip on the bottom caused during the process of firing. The vase comes with an old wooden box...

Beautiful antique Chinese scroll with two images painted by ladies of the court from the late Ching Dynasty, circa 1900. Each image has an inscription with a cartouche. It is painted with sumie ink and mineral pigments. The overall width is 14", the images measure 10.25" wide by 9.25" tall.

An antique Japanese 3 section Isho Biraki Tansu made of Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original bronze hardware. Upper section features a pair of sliding doors behind which lies a spacious storage area with a split level shelf with three side by side drawers below. The center section has two hinged doors that hide three removable Kimono trays while the bottom section has two drawers for added storage. Splendid and absolutely rare double vase of old Karatsu-yaki. It has a vivid Chosen-Karatsu glaze, and the grandiose embellishment of color creates a sublime sense of tension between the dark glazed and color infusion.
