A FINE 16TH CENTURY PERSIAN JAMIYA, with doubled edged curved steel blade, the carved ivory handle with Arabic inscription "Made by Haji, Enthronement of the King Cumar Farug the Second 986 AH," which equates to the year 1578. It also exhibits the image of Persian mythical King with his inscribed name "Houshang". The length oh khanjar is 18 inches. Condition Report: This item is in great condition.

Rare Tai Yai Burmese wooden seated crowned Buddha, or sometimes known as 'King Buddha', wearing a diadem-crown and ornaments of a king instead of ordinary monk's robes.

Tai Yai is a group of tribal people living in Burma. It is difficult to find Buddha from this ethnic group.

Black lacquer box decorated with butterflies and flowers in red, green and yellow lacquer. Detail in powdered gold lacquer and kirikane (small gold square.) Curiously there are only 2 elements in yellow lacquer, a butterfly and a flower. No signature. Good condition, no restoration...

Antique Japanese tobacco pouch and matching pipe case, each carved with an octopus. The pipe case is made all of boxwood and holds a tobacco pipe made of bamboo with silver and mixed metal fittings. The matching tobacco pouch is carved of kiri wood in the form of a fisherman's basket with a lid made of of boxwood and carved in the form of another octopus. Both practical and whimsical.

A massive heavy silver plate bronze mirror, Cambodia, Khmer Empire, ca. 11th.-12th. century AD.

Very large and with a beautiful silver patina, uncleaned on the recessed side. It features a perfect circular form and a recessed side with concentric incised circles tracing the borders...

Furoshiki (wrapping cloth) with bold and nice family crest design which are katazome (stencil-resist-dye). It is made of hand-spun cotton and vegetable indigo dyed. In good condition but has two mending patches and a few breaks. 19th century. 130cm x 126cm

Antique Japanese 2-section kiri isho tansu (clothing chest), made with very light natural color kiri (paulownia) wood with iron hardware. 4 large exterior drawers with a safe box in the lower right hand side. The interior of the safe box has two small drawers and the door has a key. Iron hardware includes warabite shaped drawer pulls and square form lock plates.

Using these Chinese lotus-shaped lacquer tea saucers simplified passing and serving hot tea. Traditional Chinese symbols are delicately painted with copper color over a black lacquer background. There is a double happiness symbol at each end along with clouds, water waves and lucky bat symbol in the center. The back side is traditional Chinese red.

Uncommon Etruscan belt buckle with hooks ending in a female head flanked by a couple of lion heads.
The lions bent forward with ears laid back and teeth bared. Both with lenticular eyes and engraved mane.
The woman looks in the opposite direction and shows a pointed face with almond-shaped eyes. The strands of her hair are curled up in front of her chest, much in accordance with archaic style.
Hooks and loops appear on narrow rectangular frames with emphasized corners...

An attractive cast bronze figure, depicting a dignitary or deity. China, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) Condition: As is often seen on Ming bronzes the casting is very thin in several places. This has caused minor holes in the bronze. The backside of the seat is missing. Please refer to the pics. Remains of red and black pigment are visible. A nice rare scalloped Liao plate, boldly incised with blossoms and leaves, under a cream and bright leaf green and amber glaze. Comes with a certificate from the Chinese Government Auction House. Size: Diameter. 13.5cm. Condition: A broken piece at the rim that was glued back on probably at the site. It is almost invisible on the front of the plate. See photos.
