A finely detailed Chinese porcelain rooster in a rich blue turquoise glaze with his comb and wattle, as well as the rock form base, glazed in a deep aubergine. In excellent condition, it measures 10.25" high, 7" long.

Please note: Any brown or white spots in photos are reflections, especially in the 2nd photograph where it looks brown at the base of the rooster's comb. It is not brown, it is purple. The reflection is coming from a brown bench behind the photographer.

Nice old Tibetan or Baotou saddle carpet, with floral medallions and scroll pattern. There are some repairs and restorations which I have highlighted in enlargement two. This wonderful pair of porcelain Chinese prunus jars combines the famous cracked ice motif with "snowing" prunus blossoms which surround 2 reserves featuring perched birds in trees. Each tree is flanked with bats, an auspicious Chinese emblem.

Spherical boxes in bronze (or copper) cloisonné in relief. The wires isolate the relief lotus flower decoration, leaving free spaces of enamel between the motifs which is an unusual, more complex technique. The fact of not completely filling the partitions with enamel weakens those which are at the edge of the decor. The wires must be welded and not simply glued before enameling, which is more difficult. If the old cloisonné enamel had all their wires welded, it would only be from the 19th cen...
