Chinese etched and carved design of Double Gourd and leaves in the background Brass Lock and heavy Key, Ca. early 1900, 2 3/4" wide, 1 3/4" high, 3/4" deep(outside measurement), 1 3/8" wide(inside opening), hole is less 1/8" diameter round, in working condition, polished with many years of usage naturally original condition, some areas are stained and dark. This lock and key was found in Yunnan Providence in China.

There are some interesting embossed and inscribed Chinese design under the old stained Brass in original condition. Thick and large size of the key is very decorative.

This is a Japanese antique indigo dye cotton Boro noragi old Farmclothes Thick of patched and sashiko stitch Meiji (1868-1912). It was repaired many times, and the boro rag that were used became wonderful folk art by themselves. The patchwork & sashiko stitch of the indigo dye cotton for the repaired is very beautiful. Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this outstanding and well-wrapped ancient Egyptian mummy. This mummy features fine wrapping with an outer shroud surrounding the ibis within. This is in the style found in similar offerings to the god Thoth and dates to the Ptolemaic period, ca. 350 B.C.. This is a rare mummy and is an excellent example of an ibis mummy. The mummy was originally part of the Wallace N. Stearns collection and was part of the MacMurray College collection in Missouri.

Designs on background include peach, pomegranate, fish, shell and bats in flight among clouds and above the fungus of Immortality over the waves. Keyfret borders with peach, pomegranate and Buddha’s hand citron motifs, colors slightly faded, newer black velvet backing. Size 9x9.5 inches.
