A powder flask of a natural painted turtle and fitted boxwood nozzle and stopper cover. The skeletal shell of the turtle is smooth with a warm tone patina. The flask is attached by a silk chord to a piece of circular boxwood toggle that could be slipped into the belt. Mounted on a custom iron stand.

The drawing is very well executed by an excellent painter, especially the dragon. There are tiny scales, one of which is large but very superficial. Enlarged photos show them to us. Otherwise good condition. Diameter about 25cm. There are many Chinese plates in the 20th century with this "rice pattern"...

19th Century Chinese Solid Silver White Jade Carved Plaque Brooch with Bat

It is 1.8 inches (4.6 cm) long by 2.1 inches (5.4 cm) wide. It is 15.6 gram.

The silver is tarnished. It also has inclusions at the plaque and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Chinese Ming Dynasty Glazed Pottery Sedan Chair (16th Century)

A pottery model of a sedan chair made during the 16th century (c.1550 - 1600). Made from a hard creamy-white pottery and coated in complimentary green and yellow glazes. A nice example with good detail, especially to the pagoda-shaped roof. There is an unusual incised pattern to the flat base, possibly a lotus blossom (?).

A Korean, buncheong, white glazed bowl; C15-16th, Joseon dynasty. The bowl is covered with white slip to it's interior; the slip terminates short of the foot. The whole was then covered in a clear glaze, which shows a green-blue colour where it has pooled. Five stacking support marks may be seen to the interior of the bowl. Antique Chinese bronze water dropper in the form of a crawling baby. Cast in bronze with details of traditional baby clothing tied at the back of the neck. The baby crawls forward with one leg slightly bent, elbows on the ground and face forward. When submerged, water would have flowed into the dropper through he hole in the baby's back. Water could then be dropped out of the baby's mouth as needed to mix ink.
