This rectangular jade (nephrite) pendant is 2 3/8" long, 1 5/8" wide and 3/8" thick. It is an early 20th century product. It is carved on both sides as two stylized phoenix facing each other. It is in great condition.
A Japanese leather tobacco pouch with pipe case (kiseruzutsu) and ojime made out of stag horn. The pipe case is finely carved in relief with an eagle on a pine branch above a waterfall; the ojime is engraved and decorated with a key fret design; the pouch with a patinated copper clasp modeled as a frog. Very fine Chinese antique belt hook carved in the shape of a knot with a butterfly on either end, made of beautiful mottled jade ranging from white to grey to bright blue/green, a silver fitting on the back was added later to convert this clothing hook to a pin or broach.

A Chinese jade oval bowl carved in the Mughal style with lobes forming the body , the base with three concentric zones showing leaves and encircling a central flower. The body is thinly carved , the stone is of mottled pale celadon tone. A competently executed example, it measures 2 cm wide, in excellent condition, no breaks no restoration and dating to late Qing period.

A Chinese mutton fat nephrite jade pendant or toggle of Budai measuring about 2 1/2" long and weighing 86g. While primarily white in color, the jade has a few random russet sections on the side and rear, and evinces under strong light a faint subtle green tint. Chinese jade pair of horses with a monkey riding one the back of one of the horses. The imagery used on this Chinese carving can be derived from the noted legend of Journey to the West, where the monkey king is assigned by the Jade Emperor to oversee the heavenly stables, but does mischief in the end. 22 inches long and a century of hard use but the tip is clean and sharp. I suspect a skilled carpenter could still use this old Chinese drill to build a cabinet or post and beam house. Personally, I am so thankful for electrical tools.

Rather unusual late Qing Dynasty (1890s to 1911) Chinese seal carved out of a natural boulder. The stone is of military green color, softer than jade and appears to be magmatic in nature - see the folds of its outside produced by cooling of the rock. Nice old Lahu bamboo woven basket (there is some rattan used in the bindings), from the Golden Triangle region in Northern Thailand. This is a genuine ethnic/tribal piece and not made for the tourist trade. There is a carrying strap that comes with this but it is not woven into the basket itself. The basket is in excellent condition while the strap has some brittleness where it folds. H: 22cm/8.5in and D: 23cm/9in.
