18th century Indian bronze votive sculpture of Ganesha sitting on a square throne, with his vahana (vehicle) - a bandicoot rat - in his lap, and holding his usual attributes in his 4 hands. There is a protective naga (cobra) wrapped around his waist. Ganesha is the remover of obstacles, and thus is invoked before any new undertaking. He bestows good luck on his worshippers, and is invoked in marriage ceremonies and in some forms of Tantric worship...

Early 19th century bronze suigaraake (ashtray) netsuke in classic bowl shape, cloisonne outside and a swinging loop for hanging. Excellent early work in terms of Japanese cloisonne, functional netsuke shape, design of flowers among scrolling vines, matte finish, beautiful wear and patina, original pitting typical for the period. An unusual low bowl with the primary subject of a Minogame, a symbol of longevity, decorated in somenishikide style in underglaze blue with additional enamels. The three Lobate reserves outlined in underglaze blue with yellow enamels framing an iron red ground inset with an auspicious minogame set against an iron red diaper ground. A substantial carving in emerald of an Indian head Fetish, Native American, probably Zuni, Navaho tribe and 20th. century.

The carving is cut and polished in one emerald stone and depicts the head of a Native tribes leader, carved on both sides of the stone. The stone is transperant light blue-green and very beautiful.

This is an extroadinarily rare Aztec ceramic pipe. There are only 3 others of this earliest type known to exist. It was found by Dr. Allen Heflin on 12/2/60 in Cuautitlan, Mexico. The end of the stem has been broken off and appears to have been glued back on. This is not the prettiest of the 4 pipes I have listed, but it is the oldest likened unto Paleo vs. Archaic. I have what I believe to be the largest and finest collection of Aztec pipes in private hands.

A quite small dish with a very attractive deep molded floral decoration, covered with a intensive green Sancai glaze. Late Yuan Dynasty, Quanzhou Kiln of Fujian Province. Diameter : 10,6 cm. Condition : Some small negigible glaze imperfection, no crack, no chip.

A rare Chinese stationery box made of huanghuali wood,with an accessory tray made of other kind of wood, and two small ink stone inside the box. There are two layers on the bottom of the box: one is made of soft wood, the other is huanghuali wood loosely laid on inside the box. The box is dated to Qing Dynasty. Condition: minor restorations.
