A dated gilded pink porcelain teapot, made very early in the Republic period, well decorated in Chinese Scholar's taste with peony flowers and poem. The cover reads Yi Pian Bing Xin - literally "Heart like Crystal" meaning "Pure and Noble Character". The top carries the characters for "Luck and Wealth"...

From our Chinese Blue and White Collection, an absolutely superb Kangxi Mark and Period Charger, 1662-1722, depicting an elegant lady in a garden pavilion tending to a lit censer while her servant stands adjacent with a ruyi-shaped fan. An egret flies overhead and two rabbits sit in the foreground beneath a banana leaf plant. On the outer rim, there are four cartouches of other elegant ladies interspersed with four cartouches of flowering plants, all separated by key fret reserves...

A late 18th/early 19th Century porcelain figure of a cockerel very finely painted with vibrant "famille rose" enamels. This item was made in China, probably for export, during the reign of the Jiaqing emperor (1796-1820). Condition - as appears to be usual with these pieces, there has been good restoration to the comb - the rest is in extremely fine condition...

This set of seven Chinese porcelain bowls comes from the Diana shipwreck. It sank in March 1817 in the Strait of Malacca. The contents were recovered in 1994 and auctioned at Christie's in Amsterdam in 1995. Dimensions: Diameter 14 cm, H. 7 cm each. Condition: 5 bowls perfect, one with a chip on the mouthrim, one with a hairline crack. Every bowl has the original auction sticker.

A finely cast bronze Buddha with an excellent green patina. Burma, Shan state, 18th century. H. 27,5 cm. Condition: excellent. Provenance: bought from Lopburi Arts and Antiques in Singapore, ca. 2001.

With an unusual European form, this oblong bowl with lid is decorated overall with a flower and butterfly design in shaded enamels on a white ground with an ultra marine blue secondary ground, as a banding around the lid and as a surround for the two flower cartouches on the bowl's exterior. A small turquoise band encircles the base of the bowl which rests on a flared foot. The interiors of both the lid and bowl are covered in a speckled, medium green enamel...

A bocwood tobacco box, finely carved with geometric patterns, a scene with a saint and a deer and a scene of a fisherman and a bird. China, 18th/19th century. Dimensions: 6 x 4,5 x 3 cm. Condition: excellent with beautiful wear and patina.

A chinese burial gift, a painted terracotta chicken. Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). H. 12 cm, W. 13 cm. Condition: no damages or repairs, age wear to the original polychrome.

A rare huanghuali scholar's box with it's original shiny varnish and original brass hardware. China, late Ming to early Qing, ca. 17th/18th century. Dimensions: L. 31 cm, W. 16 cm, H.10 cm. Condition: excellent original condition, only one brass loop at the front plate missing, a small piece of hardware on the lid missing and one of the wooden feet missing.

A rare and finely carved boxwood tobacco box that could be hung from a man's belt. The lid carved with a 3-dimansional pair of Fo dogs, the sides with floral carvings with a bird and a deer. The opening where once the rope was attached, is in the shape of two bats. China, 18th/19th century. Dimensions: L. 7 cm (excluding the wooden ring), W. 3,8 cm, H. 3,5 cm. Condition: excellent, with beautiful wear and patina.

A finely carved redwood (hongmu) box with carved soapstone ornaments in the shape of elephants. China, 19th century. Condition: two ornaments missing on the lid, the third one with a repair to the leg. Measurements: L. 13 cm, W. 6 cm, H. 8,5 cm.

A rare and finely carved boxwood box. The lid carved with a poem, one long side has a scene with three goats in a garden, the other long side has a scene with two figures in a garden with pavillions, one short side has a garden scene with a flying bird, the other short side is plain. A Chinese Bronze Censer from Qing Dynasty with a four character Xuande Mark. Size: Diameter 10 cm, Height 5.5 cm, Length across handles 11.3 cm. Approximate Weight: 440 gr. A slightly larger than average pumpkin form Yixing teapot, with nice used patina, probably made in China during the 18th or 19th Century. This item does not carry a maker's mark. Condition - very good - there are light (production) firing cracks to the body (see enlargements 5 and 8) and there is a chip and some small firing cracks to the inside of the cover; no other damages and no restoration...

Superb Canton silk hand embroidered coverlet panel, circa late 1800-early 1900, featuring a turquoise background with an overall floral design, a centered peony, bordered with flowers in vases and bat motifs in vibrant shades of reds, greens and orange. The coverlet is made in two panels and measures 54" x 77". The linen backing has been removed showing only border remnants. The condition is near mint with minor fading of the background color...

A very rare pear-shaped vase - Yuhuchunping - finely painted with black enamel on "biscuit" (un-glazed) porcelain depicting two five clawed dragons above waves, and amongst clouds and flames, in pursuit of pearls. This item was probably made during the reign of the Daoguang emperor (1821-1850) and is possibly a reject from the imperial kilns. A rare northern Song longquan celadon large bowl, rounded side with conical shape and unglazed base, bowl decorated with rare clear carved fish and flower motif at interior, outer wall with clear raising lotus petal motif, bowl covered with deep green glaze.
Bowl is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, crackled at glaze surface.
