This very nice carved ivory okimono of a young farm girl is a mid-19th century product. It is 5 ¾” high (with base is 6 ¾” high), 1 5/8” wide and 2” in depth. It depicts the farm girl carrying a wood and rope woven knapsack on her back. She holds a basket of fruit with both hands in front of her. Her smiling face is simply charming. The wood base might be a later replacement. It has good patina and is in very good condition. More detailed photos are available.

Museum quality ancient Han dynasty, 206 BC – 220 AD, lead green deep dish from Luoyang, Henan Province. Excellent patina with the original silvering left intact on the rim of the dish. The 3rd photo shows a spur mark left by one of the clay firing stilts used to prop the dish to prevent it from sticking to the kiln floor. Beautiful Antique Japanese tea kettle. Made in iron, there are vertical striations down the sides of kettle overlayed with bunches of grapes and vines, as well as flying birds. The guard shape of the kettle and handle symbolizes the seasonal autumn months and harvest. The kettle lid models a bronze red two toned beautifully lacquered glazing. Flower like details in bronze circle the top of lid. Inscription inside lid reads Ryubundo, the noted studio produced iron tea kettles.
