A set of sword fittings compromising of a tsuba, pair of menuki, and fuchigashira. The menuki is chiseled in the katagiri style on shakudo with gold iroe embellishments. The fuchigashira are done in polished shibuichi bronze. The set comes with a special kiri box with purple chirimen silk to store the set.

A lovely figure with fine clasic details Roman, ca. 1st. century AD.
Aprodite is depicted sitting on a rock covered with a robe; she is nude and covering her breasts with both hands. Her legs is folded casually and she wears a elegant headdress with diadem.

Five chinese blue and white tea cups made for the Japanese market. Grey/white glaze and underglaze cobalt blue of a deep indigo color depicts birds and flowers in a whimsical design. The cups were used in the Japanese tea ceremony. Fretting on the edges. 17th century. Cups measure 5" at lip.
Tibetan altar table made of heavy wood, painted with a three faced and six armed Boddhisattva, the sides decorated with skulls and vajras. Condition: some traces of usage, some losses to paint. Hard to find Japanese red lacquer Chochin Kabuto. This example of munition has the ability to fold for compact storage. The front 2 prongs are made for the meadate ornament. The underside of the shikoro (neck guard) in black lacquer, and the lames plates are secured with blue silk cords. Mounted on custom steel stand.

Pair of matched naturally stressed wooden plaques with “couplet”, encouraging harmony and peace. It has been suggested to me that these may be have been hung in an old Kung Fu studio as this would express the spirit of martial arts...
Rare head of a man with caricatural features. The man shows a bulged and furrowed forehead, deeply set beady eyes, a flattish nose with marked nostril, and fleshy lips. Strands of hair are brushed back from the forehead and from the temples.
The head fits into the Hellenistic grotesque tradition and may be related to the New Greek comedy.

Very rare, this oceanic artifact was brought back by from New Guinea by a pilot sometime in the 1950's. The dog teeth and boar tusks are held together by hand twisted stings woven and interlaced tightly around the widest ends.
