A set of sword fittings compromising of a tsuba, pair of menuki, and fuchigashira. The menuki is chiseled in the katagiri style on shakudo with gold iroe embellishments. The fuchigashira are done in polished shibuichi bronze. The set comes with a special kiri box with purple chirimen silk to store the set.

Aprodite is depicted sitting on a rock covered with a robe; she is nude and covering her breasts with both hands. Her legs is folded casually and she wears a elegant headdress with diadem.

A BLUE AND WHITE BOTTLE VASE 18TH/19TH CENTURY Of well-potted pear shape, finely painted in great detail with a ferocious Buddhistic lion and its cub. A quite similar vase was sold at Christies London, King Street ( 2003 ) H : 42,3 cm. Condition : Perfect Provenance : Old German collection.

Five chinese blue and white tea cups made for the Japanese market. Grey/white glaze and underglaze cobalt blue of a deep indigo color depicts birds and flowers in a whimsical design. The cups were used in the Japanese tea ceremony. Fretting on the edges. 17th century. Cups measure 5" at lip.

Tibetan altar table made of heavy wood, painted with a three faced and six armed Boddhisattva, the sides decorated with skulls and vajras. Condition: some traces of usage, some losses to paint. This very well made South East Asian fish shape pot is 5 ¾” high, 7 ¼” long and 5 ¼” wide. It has pale green, brown, beige and black glaze covering the entire body. It is in excellent condition.

This is an interesting and rare decorated bronze dagger dating to roughly 200 BC. There is some dispute as to whether it is from the Dian culture (what is now Yunnan Province in China) or the Dong Son culture in ancient Viet Nam. Regardless, I think you will agree that this is an exceptional example of ancient bronze weaponry...

Hard to find Japanese red lacquer Chochin Kabuto. This example of munition has the ability to fold for compact storage. The front 2 prongs are made for the meadate ornament. The underside of the shikoro (neck guard) in black lacquer, and the lames plates are secured with blue silk cords. Mounted on custom steel stand.

Pair of matched naturally stressed wooden plaques with “couplet”, encouraging harmony and peace. It has been suggested to me that these may be have been hung in an old Kung Fu studio as this would express the spirit of martial arts...

Rare head of a man with caricatural features. The man shows a bulged and furrowed forehead, deeply set beady eyes, a flattish nose with marked nostril, and fleshy lips. Strands of hair are brushed back from the forehead and from the temples.
The head fits into the Hellenistic grotesque tradition and may be related to the New Greek comedy.

19th century netsuke of a rooster on a drum. The subject symbolizes peace: according to a Chinese story, a drum was kept at the palace gate to alert soldiers in case of emergency, but during the reign of Emperor Yao the peace was maintained for so long, that the drum fell into disuse and became the favorite roost for local fowl. 18th Century Chinese Kangxi period Blue and White Porcelain deep scalloped rim Sauce Dish, Ca. 1661-1722, 4 1/8" diameter, 3/4" high, underglaze blue design of 8 panels of alternating with men fishing and Peony floral branches in the wide outer rim, and old man walking with tree branch tall walking stick on the river embankment in the center. Very tight glaze hairline on the top of the Pagoda design less than 1/2" long.

Very rare, this oceanic artifact was brought back by from New Guinea by a pilot sometime in the 1950's. The dog teeth and boar tusks are held together by hand twisted stings woven and interlaced tightly around the widest ends.
