18th century small Indian bronze votive sculpture depicting Shridevi - a form of Lakshmi, the consort of Lord Vishnu. She is holding an open lotus in her left hand. Very nice casting - see her graciously bent figure, beautiful warm brown patina, high devotional wear with traces of sandalwood powder in crevices, overall in great condition for a votive piece. Height 2 3/8 inches.

An olive wood box, the lid decorated with an oval panel depicting an Italian couple, in the marquetry work typical of Sorrento. Late 19th c or around 1900. On the front is written Bellagio, meaning that the box was sold in this lovely resort by Lake Como as a souvenir. Width "8½/ 22 cm, height "2¾/ 7 cm and depth "6/15,5 cm. Condition: fine, except for the small key which is best left unturned, since it is difficult to maneuvre.

A waste bowl or slop bowl and a saucer bowl in the Yellow Shell pattern, c 1820. This very popular folk art or naïve style pattern was produced in many Staffordshire kilns in the early 19th century. It used to be attributed to New Hall, but as for the waste bowl recent English research leads us to the Machin kiln, because of the difference in detail. TF was an English maker, well-known for his export of meticulously decorated transfer ware to the US and Canada. To one side transfer printed in black with an English mansion in classic style, in the foreground a lake and to gentlemen fishers, to the other side a lady and a small girl in a garden (traces of the same motif to the inside of the bowls). A Chinese coral figure of a standing maiden in an elaborate and floating robe holding a basket of flowers. Rendered with great competence and detail, it is a very attractive composition. The coral is of pinkish hue with occasional white spots. age; C. 1910. size: 17.5 cm high including the fixed wood stand. condition; very good, no restoration, no breaks. there are natural tubules to the back.

An unusual divided plate with floral designs and two large bats on the underside,symbolizing fruitfulness, prosperity and happiness. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nonya ware. Nyonya wares were mainly reserved for festive occasions and special functions.

I can imagine a grandmother making a doll in her likeness to give to a child that is not living close by but loves her Grammy. This doll has a face created by using same color thread and string to sew on the face for knotted string eyes, applied nose and a golden floss for her mouth. She is made with a heavy cotton homespun and is stuffed with a grain. She is very heavy...
Two antique bunny rabbits, one is a paper mache candy container and the other is a fury rabbit with moveable arms and legs and a wire that may have attached him to a basket or it stabilizes her to stand. They both are a little under 5" tall and show their age a bit. They are both as cute as can be.
A rare INDO-PERSIAN Mughal Khanjar Dagger with a curved and finely damascended PAMOR blade. The scabbard/sheath and handle/blade are intricately and very finely inlaid with Gold and Silver detailing designs. The wonderfully shaped handle is exquisitely hand crafted as a 3-dimensional Lion's head. The dominant dense Pamor pattern of the blade resembles irregular annual rings of a tree trunk. This dagger comes with the original scabbard which is very rare in antique daggers. Very good condition...
An uncommon, beautiful, and elegant baluster drinking glass, with a bell bowl engraved on the top half with fruiting vine decoration. The bowl has a solid base and surmounts a stem with a collar knop and a large drop knop atop a basal cushion knop.
The glass is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, blooming, or restoration. This fine example is 6 3/4" in height, with a bowl diameter of 2 7/8" and a foot diameter of 3".
