Porcelain covered by celadon glaze, to the footrim; glaze base. PERIOD : Song Dynasty (960–1279 AD) or earlier MEASUREMENTS: 6 cm wide, 2.5 cm tall. CONDITION: Excellent, no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restoration.

The bottle like this is seemed originally used as water bottle in ancient Korea. After they were exported to Japan they has been used as vases especially at tea ceremony. Japanese people realized that the beauty with them and they were suitable for "chabana" which is very important at the tea ceremony...

A Fine Korean Reverse White Slip Inlaid Celadon Oil Bottle-12th C.: Korea, Goryo dynasty, 12th century. A very fine clear grey crackle glazed celadon bottle decorated with white slip stylized floral reverse inlaid, the body of compressed gorm, resting on a foot rim with 3 spur marks on the base. It’s in good condition but has a short mouth spot repaired, It measures 5.7cm h. x 7.7cm

Dimensions; 32 cm tall Condition. With good glaze condition, there is an old repair as a large section of the foot has been re-attached...
