Offered is an excellent and well-preserved 18th Century enamelware box from the Bilston area, circa 1780. This box is enameled on the sides and bottom in a deep royal blue, and is painted in enamels on the front with a theme of doves at the nest and the words "Esteem the Giver" (the "f" being used for the "s" at this date)...

A lovely completely intact tablesize bronze presentation cannon og signal cannon, ca. late 17th.- early 18th. century AD:

A fine piece with the barrel engraved with floral scroll-works, perhaps of French manifacture. As quite unusual and remarkable, the original bronze carriage is completely intact with the same terrific old brown and green patina (perhaps once burried?).

Size: 22 cm. in total length, weighin around 1 kilogram.

Massive specimen of the old Karaweik bird type 20 tical bronze opium weight, Burma (from Ava, Rangoon, Amarapura), 18th. century.

Impressive Karaweik weight on a large octagonal base, with three neck-ridges, one back cover which is bended strongly backwards up.

Weight: c. 316 grams = 20 tical.

Condition: Nice Very fine for type with a lovely rich brown patina! Very smooth and attractive.

Rarity: Common.

This water pot is in the shape of drum which doubles as a paperweight for painting and calligraphy. It is decorated with underglaze cobalt blue and iron oxide in a rather cursive depiction of flowers and butterflies. The side has two sections of calligraphy covered with a thick, translucent glaze, somewhat obscuring the brushwork. The base is not glazed and shows considerable wear and soiling from use...

A Japanese Arita porcelain Kakiemon style dish, circa 1720~1750. The square dish with indented corners, the rim with a deep kuchibeni brown rim, the centre with a gobenka motif. The cavetto is decorated with flowers and grasses amongst rocks. Tiny touches of coloured enamels have been applied to the design, a style first seen in the early 18th century. Within the foot-rim can be found a six-character imitation of a Chinese Ming Chenghua reign mark ‘Daimin Seika Nensei’...

This beautiful blue and white porcelain bowl is from the Ming dynasty and was recovered from an un-named shipwreck off the coast of southeast Asia. It has a small crack (visible in the photos) but is in otherwise spectacular condition. Inside the bowl is a crane in reeds and on the outside are mandarin ducks and lotus flowers. There is a small blemish on the outside from years of underwater exposure. It measures roughly 19 cm across.
