A beautiful famille rose dish with the emblems of the eight immortals or baxian. They represent poverty, wealth, aristocracy, plebianism, age, youth, masculinity and feminity. At 12 o'clock, the two emblems represent Li Tiequai (gourd)and Han Xiangzhi (flute). At three o'clock the emblems represent Lan Caihe (basket of flowers)and He Xiangu (lotus). It is a quite large circular box with domed cover decorated in inlaid
with a double cranes within a double white slip inlaid surrounded by
four cranes flying in raining on the cover, the edges in a white slip
inlaid with a stylized pattern. It is in fine condition with no damage at all.
It measures 9,5cm x 4.5cm or 3 3/4” x 1 3/4”.

A Kushan gold necklace delicately strung with very small ancient lapis lazuli beads (approximately 24 beads to an inch). There are 12 gold coins with images of 6 ancient kings - six on each side. There are 2 kings that we recognize - one is Vasudeva I, the other is "Ohsho" holding an elephant goad, thunderbolts, a trident and a goat. The center bead is a oblong fluted gold bead. There are also two blue glass beads flanking the central gold bead.

A large, heavy, 17/18th Century style bottle vase glazed 'on biscuit' with "Susancai" (three colour) enamels and "Fahua" type tube-lined decoration depicting the eight Daoist Immortals on clouds over breaking waves. The neck is decorated with stylized plantain leaves over a ruyi collar.The base carries the six character reign mark of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722) but this item was probably made later, during the 19th Century.
