It is not outlined work like commercial painting items. There is Sun or Moon design behind the Hawk. Outside of bowl has cherry blossom leaves with Genji Kou design...

This antique Chinese lotus shaped serving tray is elaborately inlayed with Mother of Pearl. The MOP design covers the surface of the tray and also goes about the exterior face of the narrow rim. Wood is most likely ebony and tray dates from mid 18th century.

This is a spectacular and huge English wine glass with a vermicular collar. The bell bowl is finely engraved with a band of fruiting vines below the rim. The stem is a multiple-spiral air twist (MSAT) with a nicely fashioned central vermicular collar. The conical foot has a rough, snapped pontil.

The glass stands 8 1/2" tall, an amazing and rare size for this form. The bowl diameter is 3 5/8" and the foot diameter is 3 11/16"...

This is a rare and interesting ancient Egyptian scaraboid. An uraei knot is depicted on the top and a Hathor sistrum flanked by two uraei is incised on the bottom. The uraei knot is much older than the Herakles knot and much probably the precursor.

Antique Chinese large armoire cabinet, made all of jumu (elm) wood with beautiful dramatic grain, large round brass lock plate, interior has two shelves the lower of which has two small drawers, false bottom on interior for more storage, 19th century. Japanese tall armoire made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. This single section cabinet opens with two hinged cabinet doors. The interior has it's original metal rod for hanging clothes, a smaller metal rod on the right hand door and it's original small rectangular mirror. At the base is a single large drawer. Conservative design, with the only decoration being metal handles on the cabinet doors which are cut in a scrolling vine motif.
