The best Victorian bed we've ever had or seen, this half tester American bed, circa 1860, is absolutely beautiful. It measures 10 feet tall, 83 inches long and 68 inches wide. It takes a queen size mattress. Its in all original condition with the exception of the top having been recovered. Probably made in New York by Prudent Mallard.

This dish is decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with a design of three men playing a game of “go.” It was recovered from a shipwreck site in the Southern Philippines off the coast of Mindanao. There is a slight pitting to the glaze overall from years of submersion. There is also a tiny rim chip and very small areas of rim fritting. A fascinating Japanese shrine bell known as, Waniguchi, or directly translated as Crocodile's mouth, which resembles the wide mouth of a crocodile. The bell is usually found in shinto shrines that enshrine deities that were imported to Japan or Shingon temples. The bell contains an inscription stating that the bell was originally donated by the ancestors of the donor in 1686 and a new bell was rededicated in 1839. Beautiful handpainted biscuit jar, either Moser or Mt. Joye, decorated with a large iris on the front and smaller one on the back. It is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The handle and lid, although they look good, could use resilvering. It measures 7 1/2" tall to the top of the lid x 5" in diameter.

Signed, handpainted, Moser bowl, clear to amethyst with gold decoration. Minor wear to the gold, otherwise in perfect condition. Measures 2 3/4" tall x 6 1/2" long x 2 3/4" deep.

A Yung Ming longquan celadon large carved dish, round barbed rim with deep center and glazed base with ring for firing, dish decorated with carved flower motif at inner wall, center with cross motif, dish covered with deep green glaze.
Dish is in good condition with one faint hairline at the rim, no chip no crack no restoration, slightly wrap, good ping sound with finger tip.

Solid split pedestal mahogany dining table made by Brown and Simpson of Boston in 1909. It measures 54 inches round by 29" tall when closed. There are six leaves, two with aprons. When opened with the two leaves that have aprons, it becomes an oval measuring 6' 3" inches long and looks like one large table as the center pedestal stays closed and the aprons make it look like there are no leaves...

Beautiful ladies chair in a variation of the Rosalie pattern by Belter. Henry Belter became fameous for taking layers of wood, mostly rosewood, and laminating them so that they could bend and form a wonderful shape that showed off the wood so beautifully. This chair is typical of his work, and was made between 1850 and 1860. It measures 39" tall x 24" wide x 29" deep and will make a wonderful addition to any room

This clear quartz stone is carved in the form of a mountain with tall peaks to accommodate five or six small calligraphy brushes. The front has a “ruyi” carved in low relief among rocky outcroppings across its slightly convex facade. The backside is flat and uncarved and reveals the natural flaws in the clear stone. It has a soft polish overall and an even wear. Acquired in Osaka, Japan in the 1970s.

This Tang-style camel is glazed overall in a transparent turquoise and stands on a rectangular base, the bottom of which is unglazed, showing the terracotta clay body. There is a glaze flake on the left nostril, and an old glaze chip to the base beneath the left rear foot...

Description:

A Lusan dark-glazed ewer was decorated with characteristic and charming blue splashes on the surface.
The beige-tinted body clay was revealed at the bottom and was in old abrasion look.
