Description: A rare excavation piece of a jadeite snuff bottle was in beautiful greenish tint and with obvious incursions. Even with un-satisfactory cracks which was due to long time of burial, the snuff bottle was in stable condition and the hollowing craftsmanship was quite good. An adequate black steatite cap was newly paired but more work was needed to add the dipper on. Date: Qing Dynasty (18th century) Dimension: 4.9cm x 3.8cm 1.5cm

This is a nice small sancai glazed tazza cup from the Tang dynasty ((618 – 906 A.D.). The tazza is decorated with small round spots of flower like pattern with three cream spots and a brown dash in the centre. The background is glazed in green colour. The glaze on the outside of the tazza flows just below the cup, exposing the buff colour of the stem and the spread out foot.

There is no repair or restoration, crack, chip or glaze fritting. Some abrasions can be expected...

This charming old traditional style tea container is made from bamboo. It has a fitted lid that is held in place by a thin strip of wood which passes through the handle and fits in a slot in the lid. With the handle extended upward the piece measure 6" tall. The lid has some tooth marks left by a venturesome but unsuccessful mouse.

Dated to the Yuan dynasty, it is of thick celadon glaze of dark greenish yellow body, which has beautiful crazing line. The body is of pale gray materials with the base shown burnt to a dark reddish brown colour. The small longquan vase could have been use for either storing medicine or just as a small vase. Description: An ancient inkstone called Qing-Shi (green stone)inkstone was from northern China of Song Dynasty. In plain square form(Chao-Sou style), the ink pool was in a shape of Ru-Yi. With original light gray tint, the patina was dotted with black ink left by users. The middle of the surface was concave by long time of using. As to the quality, the inkstone is quite hefty as it was call Qing-Shi(green stone)...

Description: In plain and simple form and with unusual length, this paper weight was made of precious Suan-zi wood. Had been used in scholar's practice of calligraphy and Chinese paintings, the paper weight was preserved in very good condition only with some old abrasions and an old chip on the underside at one of the ends. Description: A granite stone candlestick stand was carved as a female lion and cub playing with a embroidered ball. Holding in the mouth with the thread, the mother lion was teasing the cub who was chasing the ball clumsily. With old darkened patina, there was a hole on the back of the mother lion. The hole was intended as a fasten place for wooden candlestick. Date: Qing Dynasty Length: 14cm Height: 13cm Depth: 7.5cm Condition: A minor old chip on the tip of the mother lion's nose.

Description: An interesting stamp store's seal was kept in perfect condition. With inscription of Chan Ann Zhai Inn Pu Chang-Chan Ann Zhai Stamp's Store Seal, this wood stamp which stood for the store that had produced numerous stamps for it's clients now was the only one left. Good patina and full of stories were what this old stamp attracted me. Date: Early 20th Century. Height:6.0cm

This is a tall and handsome black glazed Yuan dynasty (1277-1367) stoneware yuhuchun ping. The yuhuchun ping stand on a short splay foot rim rising up to a pear shaped body narrowing upwards to a long slender and elegantly waisted neck towards a everted trumpet like mouth. On the pear shaped body of the Yuhuchun Ping, it is painted with 2 set of symmetrical dark rust-brown floral sprays. The floral sprays is painted in a very beautiful, strong and forceful stroke of dark iron rust-brown paint...

A fine Antique Japanese bronze censer Meiji period artist or makers signed. A incredibly finely detailed casting with dragons and shishi dogs and traditional Japanese design elements. Measuring approx. 21 inches tall in good condition some repairs or re-soldering to the handles and base supports causing some discolorations to the patina. All in all this is a remarkable piece at a very reasonable price.

A "Saddle-gourd" flask shaped after a leather prototype with a vertical spout and saddle handle. Age:11th century. Size: 23.4cm.high. Condition: No repairs . Normal kiln marks. One of a pair.

 

Description: An exquisite white jade piece was shaped as a hanging piece and a display item as well. Carved with figurines of an old man carrying a boy on his back which was a Chinese metaphor of longevity and fertility of boys. It was very cute on the topic and the carvings was very delicate for revealing the details. Date: Qing Dynasty (18th Century) Height: 5.1cm

A lacquered Buddha figure holding a bowl seated on a high lotus pedestal. This meditating Buddha has a very gentle and calming face. The open area in the back is missing its former relics.

Condition: The lacquer is worn due to its age but the patina is beautiful. There are traces of gilding on the lacquer.
