Northern Plains Native American spirit pipe with a Catlinite (pipestone) bowl carved with a full figural effigy of a walking bear, together with a wooden stem decorated with geometric black painted markings. Circa 1890. Overall length: 23.5 inches. Pipe bowl dimensions: 7 inches length x 3 inches height x 1.25 inches depth. Excellent condition. This is a beautiful sterling silver overlay bracelet by Hopi silversmith Raymond Sequaptewa. It has a bold geometric design and is in fine original condition. Measuring 5 3/4" around in the inside plus a1 1/8" opening, it is 1 1/2" wide and weighs 80 grams. Signed with Sequaptewa's ear of corn hallmark and the Hopi Guild symbol. A magnificent cuff.
